Spartan Motors USA (Spartan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Fleet Services Truck Body and Velocity vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with ASA Electronics monitors for displaying the backup camera images, model number VOM74MMx. The affected monitors may revert back to the factory default settings which may cause the camera image to be reversed.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 5,855 units affected.

Description:
Spartan Motors USA (Spartan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Fleet Services Truck Body and Velocity vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with ASA Electronics monitors for displaying the backup camera images, model number VOM74MMx. The affected monitors may revert back to the factory default settings which may cause the camera image to be reversed.
Consequeces:
If the monitor displays the image in reverse, the driver may unintentionally turn in the wrong direction, increasing the risk of crash.
Corrective action:
Spartan will notify owners, and dealers will install a relay harness with a capacitor, free of charge. Owners may contact Spartan customer service at 1-800-543-5008. Spartan's number for this recall is 19002.
