Unicell Body Company Inc. is recalling certain 2017-2019 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savanna

Unicell Body Company Inc. (Unicell) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savanna, 2018-2019 Hino 155, Ford Econoline and Transit and Isuzu NPR, and 2018 Ram ProMaster-based vehicles equipped with ASA Electronics Voyager monitors used to display the back-up camera image. The affected monitors may revert back to the factory default settings which may cause the camera image to be reversed.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 325 units affected.

Description:: Unicell Body Company Inc. (Unicell) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savanna, 2018-2019 Hino 155, Ford Econoline and Transit and Isuzu NPR, and 2018 Ram ProMaster-based vehicles equipped with ASA Electronics Voyager monitors used to display the back-up camera image. The affected monitors may revert back to the factory default settings which may cause the camera image to be reversed.
Consequeces:: The driver may inadvertently turn the wrong direction to avoid an object behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Unicell will work with ASA Electronics to notify owners and offer a remedy, free of charge. The recall began May 9, 2019. Owners may contact ASA Electronics customer service 1-800-384-4400 or Unicell at 1-716-853-8628.

2018 RAM PROMASTER Complaints
My vehicle is subject to open safety Recall 67C involving the cooling fan module and related fuse protection in the engine compartment. The recall has been open since October 2025. The manufacturer and dealer have confirmed that the remedy/parts are still not available and that there is no ETA for repair. At this time, I have not experienced an obvious operating failure with the vehicle itself. However, the open safety recall remains unresolved, and because no remedy exists yet, the recall cannot be completed. This is my sole work vehicle, and the unresolved recall is preventing lawful completion of the import/registration process in Canada and preventing me from using the vehicle for work. The problem has been confirmed by the manufacturer and an authorized dealer as an open recall with no available remedy at this time. I am reporting that the manufacturer has failed to provide a timely remedy for this safety recall.;
2019 CHEVROLET EXPRESS Complaints
The OTA had the interstate lanes bottle necked down. Traffic was trying to merge. The van had already slowed down and moved into the thru lane closest to the median. The van was pushed off the road by a semi into the contrete barrier. The semi clipped the bumper on the front passenger's side. It was also hit on the driver's side rear bumper. All of this caused the van to hit the wall on the front driver's corner. The airbags did not deploy! The driver was slammed into the steering wheel hitting his face against it. He suffered several facial fractures which required surgical repair. He now has plates holding the orbital socket, cheek bone, and jaw. The fracture in front of the ear was not plated. The highway patrol was called to the scene. The van will soon be released to the insurance company for claims inspection. We believe it to be totaled;
2019 FORD ECONOLINE Complaints
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 GULF STREAM B TOURING CRUISER RV THAT WAS BUILT ON A 2019 FORD E-450 CHASSIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE RV WAS PARKED, THE CHASSIS BATTERY LOST CHARGE. THE RV WAS TAKEN TO BROWNS RV SUPERSTORE (LOCATED AT 30049 SC-151, MCBEE, SC 29101, (843) 335-8829) TO BE DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO A LOCAL FORD DEALER. THE UNKNOWN DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE IN THE RADIO THAT CAUSED THE BATTERY TO CONTINUOUSLY DRAIN. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RADIO WOULD BE REPAIRED INSTEAD OF REPLACED. THE RADIO CONTROL UNIT PROVIDED ACCESS TO SEVERAL SAFETY FEATURES IN THE RV. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 966. *BF CONSUMER STATED BROWN'S RV REPLACED RADIO AND PROBLEM STILL EXIST! CONSUMER STATED WE JUST USED IT AFTER RADIO WAS REPLACED FOR FIRST TIME AND FOUND OTHER ISSUES WITH GENERATOR AND INTERIOR CONTROL PANEL. "THIS UNIT IS A ROLLING FIRE HAZARD."*JB;
