Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018 F-150, 2018-2020 F-250, F-350, and 2019 Escape vehicles equipped with Continental tires. On the affected vehicles, it is possible that one or more tires were cured for too long during tire production.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 15,769 units affected.

Description:: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018 F-150, 2018-2020 F-250, F-350, and 2019 Escape vehicles equipped with Continental tires. On the affected vehicles, it is possible that one or more tires were cured for too long during tire production.
Consequeces:: Over cured tires may develop a break in the sidewall, resulting in sudden air loss or belt edge separation which could lead to tread/belt loss. Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the tires, and replace them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2021. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 21S10.

2018 FORD F-150 Complaints
I have a 10 speed automatic transmission that intermittently works in 2nd and third gears. It began doing this at 60,000 miles. I'm not sure if it is the adaptive learning transmission control module (TCM) or the transmission itself. Ford dealer wants over $10,000 to replace transmission. The car is unsafe when pulling into traffic and it won't accelerate half the time.;
2019 FORD ESCAPE Complaints
Was told the lugnuts were swollen when I tried to have tires rotated. The repair shop is mainly and oil repair shop. I took it to the dealership I purchased the car from and was told this is a major issue they deal with everyday and Ford has not issued a recall. I have to replace with my own money and labor costs. I have to have it done but think Ford should address this issue as if I had a flat tire somewhere in a remote area I could not get tire off with wrench provided with spare tire.;
2020 FORD F-250 SD Complaints
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-250 SD. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a no-start condition and was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the high-pressure fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced. However, the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V957000 (Fuel System, Diesel); because there were not enough metal shavings found in the fuel system. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact used a vehicle scanner to retrieve DTC: P2291. The contact notified the manufacturer of the failure and was referred to the dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 134,000.;
2020 FORD F-350 SD Complaints
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-350 SD. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle with the ignition key, the vehicle failed to start as intended. The check engine warning light was illuminated. In addition, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign: 24V957000 (Fuel System, Diesel); and the VIN was included. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with the fuel pump failure. The vehicle was not repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V957000(Fuel System, Diesel); because there was no metallic debris found in the fuel system. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and the recall repair was denied. The failure mileage was approximately 230,000.;
