Honda is recalling certain 2021 Accord Sedan

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2021 Accord Sedan, Accord Hybrid, CR-V, Ridgeline, 2022 Insight and CR-V Hybrid vehicles. The automatic locking retractor on the second-row center seat belt assembly may deactivate improperly, which can result in an unsecured child restraint system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 4,346 units affected.

Description:: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2021 Accord Sedan, Accord Hybrid, CR-V, Ridgeline, 2022 Insight and CR-V Hybrid vehicles. The automatic locking retractor on the second-row center seat belt assembly may deactivate improperly, which can result in an unsecured child restraint system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Consequeces:: An unsecured child restraint system can increase the risk of injury during a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will replace the second-row center seat belt assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 14, 2022. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138.

2021 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID Complaints
Most recent incidents on Friday 08/07 car lost power while driving on freeway unable to accelerate, all engine/warning lights came on was thankfully able to pullover and shut off vehicle. This is not first incident this also happened about 5x in 2025 and had car inspected and serviced by Honda dealership each time being told they didn’t know what the issue is because the engine light wasn’t on at time of appointments. Final visit resulting in them adjusting the intake valves but they were even unsure if this was the correct “fix” well it did last a year without other incidents until recently, there seems to be a recall on 2023+ models but not my 2021 and this seems like may be similar issue. 12v battery and spark plugs are new, car is regularly maintenanced and have been told alternator is still good. Unsure where else to turn as I no longer feel safe driving this vehicle especially with my children. Where I live and work is almost impossible to avoid freeways.;
2021 HONDA CR-V Complaints
There are steering problems with our 2021 Honda CRV. My wife & I notice two issues: 1. When driving on the interstate, we notice the steering wheel seems to grab or stick when we try to slightly turn it. It causes the car to suddenly jerk. 2. When driving on the interstate, we notice that we constantly have to constantly adjust the steering wheel (either to the left or right) to keep it moving straight. If we try to hold the steering wheel straight, the car starts moving either left or right. We have not taken the car to be inspected by a mechanic, but are getting more concerned about the problem as we have been doing more interstate travel lately.;
2021 HONDA RIDGELINE Complaints
The complete Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) has been disabled on my truck and all the warning lights are on. All the safety features ment to keep me safe on the road are no longer working.;
2022 HONDA CR-V HYBRID Complaints
When driving the vehicle will lose acceleration and not allow me to accelerate. It feels like it wants to shut off. The check engine light will come on when this happens. I turn the car off and turn it back on and it goes back to baseline and lets me drive as normal. This has happened while accelerating to get on the highway from an on-ramp, at around 45-60 miles an hour and also at city speeds slowing down to a stop light. I notice some rough idling/shaking during idle at times as well. I have not taken it into the dealer yet because it started happening over the weekend when the dealer was closed. Vehicle has not yet been inspected by anyone. I do believe the first time it happened that an error message came on my dashboard but I'm not 100% sure. The check engine light definitely did though both times it's happened.;
