Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 International HX vehicles. The tie rod clamps may have been improperly heat-treated, causing them to fail and allowing the tie rods to separate.
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 451 units affected.

- Description:
- Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 International HX vehicles. The tie rod clamps may have been improperly heat-treated, causing them to fail and allowing the tie rods to separate.
- Consequeces:
- Tie rod separation can result in a sudden loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Corrective action:
- Dealers will replace both tie rod end clamps, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 30, 2022. Owners may contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 22520.
