Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023 Transit vehicles. The fuel tank grade vent valve may not be properly welded to the fuel tank shell, which can result in a fuel leak.
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 1,159 units affected.

- Description:
- Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023 Transit vehicles. The fuel tank grade vent valve may not be properly welded to the fuel tank shell, which can result in a fuel leak.
- Consequeces:
- A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
- Corrective action:
- Dealers will replace the fuel tank, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 28, 2023. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 23S04.
