Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2024 VNL, VHD, and VNR trucks. The fastener that connects two steering components, the pitman arm and draglink, may be loose, which can cause the connection to fail and result in a loss of steering control.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 1,933 units affected.

Description:
Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2024 VNL, VHD, and VNR trucks. The fastener that connects two steering components, the pitman arm and draglink, may be loose, which can cause the connection to fail and result in a loss of steering control.
Consequeces:
A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:
Dealers will inspect and tighten the castle nuts and install new cotter pins, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 4, 2023. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 1-800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks' number for this recall is RVXX2311.
