Hyundai Motor America is recalling certain 2022-2024 IONIQ 5

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2022-2024 IONIQ 5, 2023-2024 IONIQ 6, Genesis GV60, Genesis GV70 "Electrified," and Genesis G80 "Electrified" vehicles. The Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) may become damaged and stop charging the 12-Volt battery, which can result in a loss of drive power.

The recall was influenced by the Office of Defects Investigation with about 99,055 units affected.

Description:: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2022-2024 IONIQ 5, 2023-2024 IONIQ 6, Genesis GV60, Genesis GV70 "Electrified," and Genesis G80 "Electrified" vehicles. The Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) may become damaged and stop charging the 12-Volt battery, which can result in a loss of drive power.
Consequeces:: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: This recall is replaced by NHTSA recall number 24V-868. Vehicles already repaired under this recall will need to have the new remedy completed. Dealers will inspect and replace the ICCU and its fuse, as necessary. In addition, dealers will update the ICCU software. All repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 22, 2024. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 257/021G.

2024 GENESIS GV60 Complaints
On December 1, 2025 the car gave a series of messages on the screen indicating that there was an issue with the electrical system. I was within a mile of home and so drove home because it was operating normally at first. Driving home the car went into a limp mode and could only go very slowly 15-20 mph probably). The car was towed from my house on 12/1/2025. The issue turned out to be a bad Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). The car was fixed on 12/16/2025. I just wanted to make sure this failure was counted .;
2024 HYUNDAI IONIQ 5 Complaints
Vehicle stopped responding at freeway speeds. Pedals didn’t do anything. Slowly pulled over and off freeway powered off car and back on again. Was able to continue driving home. Almost got stuck in the middle of the freeway;
2024 HYUNDAI IONIQ 6 Complaints
Driving the car at 30 mph, the vehicle suddenly failed to accelerate while pressing on the gas pedal. I was forced to pull over as soon as possible to try to resolve the issue at hand. Thankfully, the breaks still worked and I was able to come to a full stop, turn off the car, and restart the car. There were no warning lamps/ messages that appeared before or after the time of the incident. (Incident occurred Aug 11) This is the second incident that my car's acceleration failed while in the middle of driving. Previously, this had happened while on the freeway during stop and go congestion (Oct 2025). This is a severe life-threatening safety concern as the failures have happened while the car is in motion during traffic. When I have taken the vehicle in for an inspection and diagnosis after the first incident, the Hyundai dealership was not able to reproduce the problem (Oct 2025) and therefore, could not provide any corrective services. I have not taken it in again for the second incident. The car is available for inspection upon request.;
