Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 Lincoln Navigator, F-150, Expedition, Bronco, and Ranger vehicles. The Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) module may malfunction while driving or when the driver is utilizing an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) feature, resulting in a loss of power brake assist.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 312,120 units affected.

Description:: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 Lincoln Navigator, F-150, Expedition, Bronco, and Ranger vehicles. The Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) module may malfunction while driving or when the driver is utilizing an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) feature, resulting in a loss of power brake assist.
Consequeces:: An unexpected loss of power brake assist while driving can extend stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a loss of power brake assist while ADAS features are engaged can result in the vehicle not braking as expected, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: The EBB module software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 22, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S77.

2025 FORD BRONCO SPORT Complaints
Both front lower control arm ball joints on my 2025 Bronco Sport failed prematurely at approximately 13,000 miles. Upon removal, both ball studs showed heavy corrosion and clear evidence of water intrusion past the factory boot seals. One boot's upper metal retainer was visibly deformed, allowing water into the joint. This level of corrosion should not exist on a vehicle this new and indicates a defective component or seal, not normal wear. I have retained both failed parts and have photographs documenting the condition. This is the same component covered under Ford's active do-not-drive safety recall 26S36 (NHTSA campaign 26V-340) for front lower control arm ball joint defects on 2021–2026 Bronco Sport vehicles. My VIN is not included in that campaign, but I experienced failure of the identical safety-critical component. I am reporting this so NHTSA is aware the defect may extend beyond the current recall population. When I brought the vehicle to my local Ford dealer and requested inspection under the new vehicle warranty, the service department refused to inspect the vehicle at all, citing a 1.5-inch aftermarket leveling kit. No inspection was performed and no determination was made that the modification caused or contributed to the failure. A leveling kit does not cause water intrusion past a factory boot seal. Because the dealer refused service on a safety-critical component, I replaced both ball joints at my own expense to keep the vehicle safe to drive. I have opened a case with Ford Customer Relationship Center (case CXH-09202228-R9R8V5). No crash or injury occurred, but ball joint separation causes loss of steering control, and I believe this failure mode warrants investigation of vehicles outside the current recall scope.;

2025 FORD F-150 HYBRID Complaints
Vehicle: 2025 Ford F-150 (VIN and mileage available upon request) Component: Rearview/backup camera display, Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) / SYNC infotainment system (Sync 4 version 25211 revision 1966-same CCPU ver./VMCU version:6.1.42.2) Summary of Problem: The rearview camera display intermittently shows a distorted, glitched, or corrupted image when the vehicle is shifted into Reverse. The fault is not consistent or reproducible on demand, it occurs unpredictably across different drive cycles, which makes it difficult to document with video or photo evidence at the time it occurs. When the fault is present, the driver does not have a reliable rear-view image, reducing visibility and situational awareness while backing up. I checked my VIN against Ford's and NHTSA's recall databases and found no open recall covering this specific vehicle for this issue. However, Ford has issued multiple prior recalls (including NHTSA 25V315 / Ford 25S49) for related APIM software defects causing rear camera freezing, blanking, or display corruption on other model years and vehicle lines. This suggests the underlying APIM/software issue may not be fully resolved across all affected builds, including 2025 model year trucks not currently covered. Safety Concern: Because the failure is intermittent and unpredictable, the driver cannot anticipate when the rear camera will be unreliable, which itself is a safety hazard distinct from a consistent failure that could at least be planned around. This creates a risk of collision with pedestrians, vehicles, or objects behind the truck during reversing, particularly since the rear camera is often relied on as a primary means of rear visibility. Additional Notes: I am in the process of documenting occurrences and requesting APIM diagnostic logs from Ford/dealer service to establish a pattern, given the intermittent nature of the fault.;
2025 FORD RANGER Complaints
2025 Ford Ranger XLT experienced an electrical short-circuit causing a persistent speaker hiss with the vehicle turned off, accompanied by an electrical burning smell. The radio and audio became very staticky and a constant hissing sound with the radio and the truck turned off. By the time the dealer looked at the vehicle it was operating normally. Dealership refused to inspect wiring or ACM due to intermittent nature of the failure.;
2025 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR Complaints
Was operating the vehicle around a slight bend at about 45mph. The brakes and steering then stopped working and was non responsive. The vehicle was sliding off the road toward a parked dump truck. After about 2 or 3 seconds the steering and brakes started working again and I regained control of the vehicle. I then fishtailed across 2 lanes of traffic and managed to keep the vehicle straight. Immediately after a warning popped on the dash stating "Drive control fault service required." Upon calling roadside and bringing the vehicle to the service center the following was identified. The Vehicle Dynamics Control Module (VDM) failed. This caused the vehicle to detect a rollover, which means the vehicle took control of the steering and brakes according to the service manager and would not allow the driver to intervene. This module was replaced. A cause for the module failure could not be found. The module was not allowed to be inspected and was sent to Lincoln corporate. The service tech was not allowed to open the module and identify the reason for failure. The risk for this part failing means that steering and braking are non operational. In my situation this was potentially a lethal accident with myself and family in the car. To slide off the road and hit a parked dump truck surely could have been life ending for myself and others. Vehicle diagnosed for DTC C1112:92 in the VDM The problem was not able to be reproduced. A cause of the problem has not been identified and is not known. The service center sounded concerned that they could not find the reason for failure and could not confirm it wont happen again. The vehicle was only inspected by the service center. There were no prior symptoms or warning lights or messages prior to the module failure.;
