Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC, Mustang, F-350 SD, F-250 SD, F-450 SD, 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, 2015-2018 Edge, Transit Connect, 2016-2019 F-550 SD, Transit, 2017-2019 Econoline, and 2019 Ranger vehicles. The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted, or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse.

The recall was influenced by the Office of Defects Investigation with about 1,456,417 units affected.

Description:: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC, Mustang, F-350 SD, F-250 SD, F-450 SD, 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, 2015-2018 Edge, Transit Connect, 2016-2019 F-550 SD, Transit, 2017-2019 Econoline, and 2019 Ranger vehicles. The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted, or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse.
Consequeces:: A rearview camera that displays an inverted, distorted, or blank image can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 13, 2026. Ford owners will receive letters in phases, beginning January 2026 and June 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S89. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 25V270. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning September 8, 2025.

My camera only works for a couple of seconds and not always, plus the screen turns blue or black;
2017 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR Complaints
The contact owned a 2017 Lincoln Navigator. The contact stated that while traveling at 40 MPH, the vehicle struck the front passenger side of another vehicle that made an illegal U-turn at a higher rate of speed. The vehicle spun out and came to a stop after crashing into a bus occupied by children. No air bags deployed, and the contact believed the air bags should have deployed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. Two individuals were injured. The contact was driving and sustained injuries to the head, neck, shoulders, knees, legs, chest, right elbow, right arm, and internal bruising from the seat belt. The other person sustained unknown injuries. Medical attention was required for the injuries sustained. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 140,000.;
2018 FORD EDGE Complaints
Rear drivers side brake line ruptured, leaving the vehicle unsafe to drive. The ruptured happened at a bend in the hard brake line at the top of the gas tank.;
2018 FORD TRANSIT CONNECT Complaints
Component Affected: Service Brakes / ABS Module / Hydraulic Braking System Description of Safety Defect: There is an active, intermittent, catastrophic failure in the front braking system/ABS module causing the front brakes to completely lock up mid-transit while operating at high speeds (60+ MPH). First Incident (April 24, 2026): During operation on a busy interstate at over 60 MPH, the front braking system experienced a sudden, catastrophic thermal lock-up. This caused violent vehicle shuddering, extreme friction heat, and heavy, thick, acrid smoke. The vehicle was brought to a dealer shop for repair. Second Incident (April 29, 2026): Four days after delivery, the identical catastrophic brake lock-up recurred mid-transit, creating an immediate fire hazard due to friction heat and smoke. An independent repair facility diagnosed the failure and replaced the ABS module. Third Incident (June 4, 2026): The identical component failure recurred while traveling at over 60 MPH on Interstate 694 with a minor child in the vehicle. The front brakes fully locked up mid-transit, creating an immediate risk of a high-speed collision, severe thermal friction, and heavy burning odors, rendering the vehicle entirely un-roadworthy. Current Status: > The vehicle has sat grounded at a repair shop for 30 cumulative days out of 54 days of ownership due to the persistent re-locking of the front hydraulic braking system. The vehicle is unsafe to operate on public roads. No crash or fire occurred, but the failure poses an imminent thermal and collision hazard.;
2019 FORD ECONOLINE Complaints
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 GULF STREAM B TOURING CRUISER RV THAT WAS BUILT ON A 2019 FORD E-450 CHASSIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE RV WAS PARKED, THE CHASSIS BATTERY LOST CHARGE. THE RV WAS TAKEN TO BROWNS RV SUPERSTORE (LOCATED AT 30049 SC-151, MCBEE, SC 29101, (843) 335-8829) TO BE DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO A LOCAL FORD DEALER. THE UNKNOWN DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE IN THE RADIO THAT CAUSED THE BATTERY TO CONTINUOUSLY DRAIN. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RADIO WOULD BE REPAIRED INSTEAD OF REPLACED. THE RADIO CONTROL UNIT PROVIDED ACCESS TO SEVERAL SAFETY FEATURES IN THE RV. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 966. *BF CONSUMER STATED BROWN'S RV REPLACED RADIO AND PROBLEM STILL EXIST! CONSUMER STATED WE JUST USED IT AFTER RADIO WAS REPLACED FOR FIRST TIME AND FOUND OTHER ISSUES WITH GENERATOR AND INTERIOR CONTROL PANEL. "THIS UNIT IS A ROLLING FIRE HAZARD."*JB;
