FOREST RIVER SALEM Recalls

Jul 12, 2024 – Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Forest River Salem, Wildwood, and Stealth EVO travel trailers. The Federal Placard may state an incorrect rim size. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Jul 12, 2024 – Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Salem, Puma, Wildwood, and 2025 Cherokee travel trailers equipped with certain Pacific Rim brand couplers. The couplers have an incorrect load rating of 14,000 pounds and may be overloaded, causing the hitch to fail.

Jun 28, 2024 – Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Salem, and Wildwood travel trailers. The affected vehicles may not have a secondary emergency exit installed.

Jun 03, 2024 – Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Forest River Rainier, Stealth Evo, Salem, Vibe, and Wildwood travel trailers. The tire may contact the vehicle body due to insufficient clearance, which can cause tire damage.

Feb 02, 2024 – Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Salem and Wildwood fifth wheel travel trailers. The Federal Placard may have incorrect tire size information. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."

Sep 29, 2023 – Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Salem and Wildwood fifth wheels. These vehicles may be missing a secondary emergency exit.

May 19, 2023 – Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2023 Salem, and Wildwood Travel Trailers. The brass fitting connected to the furnace pipe may have been manufactured without thread sealant.

Apr 24, 2023 – Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2023 Salem and Wildwood travel trailers. The brakes may be incorrectly wired, which can result in a loss of brake function.

Dec 13, 2022 – Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2023 Salem, Stealth EVO, and Wildwood travel trailers. The 8-gauge wire connected to the 12-Volt refrigerator may not have over-current protection, which can cause the wire to melt.

Sep 30, 2022 – Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Salem, Wildwood, and Ozark travel trailers. The fresh water tank may dislodge from the vehicle and fall to the ground when full or overfilled.
