PLATINUM Recalls

May 04, 2023 – Outback Customs, LLC (Outback) is recalling certain 2020-2022 4 Star, 2022 CM, Featherlite, Dodge RAM RCA, 2020-2023 Cimarron, Double D, Elite, Platinum horse trailers, and 2021-2022 Mercedes Sprinter Vans, equipped with certain SDS2 2-Burner Drop-in Cooktops. The internal aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves may fracture and cause a gas leak.

Dec 31, 2015 – Compass Conversions, LLC (Compass Conversions) is recalling one model year 2014 Bloomer Horse Trailer and one 2015 Platinum Horse Trailer with Atwood Model on-demand water heaters. Additionally, one Atwood water heater from Compass Conversions inventory is being recalled. The affected on-demand water heaters have a gas valve that may cause the water heater to overheat the water in the hot water supply tap.

Oct 17, 2013 – Outlaw Conversions (Outlaw) is recalling certain model year 2006-2013 Hart, 4-Star, and Platinum gooseneck horse trailers with living quarters manufactured January 1, 2006, through April 25, 2013 and equipped with Fastec-brand door locks. It may be possible to remove the key from the lock in a way that potentially jams the deadbolt.

Aug 20, 2013 – LSR Conversions is recalling one model year 2013 Elite, one model year 2013 Kiefer, one model year 2013 Platinum and one model year 2013 Adam horse trailer. Due to a design change in the Dometic-brand power awning motor assembly, the motor assembly screws may unknowingly shear.

Feb 17, 2009 – DORMAN IS RECALLING 979 STEERING KNUCKLES, DORMAN P/NOS. 697-902 AND 697-903, SOLD UNDER DORMAN'S "OE SOLUTIONS<SUP>TM</SUP>" BRAND NAME, AND NAPA P/NOS. 7-8502 AND 7-8503 WHICH WERE SOLD FOR REPLACEMENT USE ON THE VARIOUS VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. A POTENTIAL MATERIAL OR DESIGN DEFECT COULD RESULT IN THE STEERING KNUCKLE BREAKING IN THE HUB AREA.

Oct 17, 2008 – DORMAN PRODUCTS IS RECALLING 3,900 INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFTS DORMAN PART NOS. 425-151, 425-152, AND 425-153, (SOLD UNDER DORMAN'S "OE SOLUTIONS" BRAND NAME), BALKAMP #'S 7-3057, 7-3058, 7-3059 (SOLD UNDER THE "NAPA" BRAND NAME), AND PLATINUM PARTS #'S 2425151, 2425152, AND 2425153 MANUFACTURED DURING THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2007. THESE REPLACEMENT STEERING SHAFTS CAN BE USED ON THE VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. THE WELD CONNECTING THE INNER TUBE TO THE OUTER TUBE MAY BE DEFECTIVE.
