Last week I took the cover off our car seat to wash and the foam on the headrest was cracked all the way through. I have no idea when this happened or even how it could have. This car seat is barely 2 years old. I’ve never been in an accident or dropped this seat, and it is not used improperly.

We have a onefit. Our seat cover will not cover part of the head rest and he is able to pick and scratch at the Styrofoam. Even caught him trying to eat it. This has happened on several occasions. We have had to stop using the seat.

Cup holders are rubber on the outside, the rubber splits over time posing a serious choking hazard. My child choked on the rubber because he was able to break a small piece off of the split rubber.

There was no incident, the fabric around the headrest of the carseat had been falling down for the past few months. When I went to fix it for the, what seemed to be, thousandth time today I saw that the entire foam headrest is cracked in half!!! What the heck!? It has never been in an accident. The carseat rarely gets moved.. When you pay over $300 for a carseat that is supposed to last throughout a child's time needing to be restrained or boosted in a car and have to replace it after just 2 years that's ridiculous!!!

The head rest cracked. It available for inspection. This is the second car seat, of the same brand that’s done this in the exact same area for us. My child’s safety was put at risk because the head rest cracked. The foam piece. Chicco has been contacted about this, multiple times.
