When going to tighten the harness, it tightens but doesn't lock my son will lean foward and the straps loosen right up.

My evenflow everystage is fraying on the lower part of the harness that comes up from the bottom of the carseat. It is fraying on both sides where it goes through the plastic. I have contacted evenflow because I have registered this seat and believe this to be a defect not from misuse. Evenflow decided via email that it was from an animal chewing it. This is not chew damage. The company is offering me no solutions. The call center cannot be reached and there is no available chat. I have made numerous calls to the call center while it should be open and it is never available. At this point I feel like im being scammed and cannot use my main carseat for my child. I am highly disappointed in how this is being handled and concerned for others with the same seat made around the same time.

Car seat is missing all stickers/labels in Spanish. Only English stickers/labels are present.

Harness would not lock. When my son leaned forward he could loosen the harness as if we were depressing the button. We had three of the these car seats and after investigating the other seat would loosen without the button being depressed but it took my husband pulling on it. The last car seat did not have the harness issue but we returned it anyway as we no longer trust it to hold our children during a crash.

When the car seat in anchored into my vehicle with either the anchor straps or the seat belt the seat slowly falls backwards and won’t stay up in the correct position when rear facing. The seat seems to slide out of position, and falls to the back or side no matter how well it is anchored into the vehicle. Additionally, the anchor strap is difficult to tighten once anchored, you cannot pull the strap to tighten the seat into place. The harness itself is always twisting out of position when buckled and unbuckled, it’s difficult to strap my child into the seat and we even had trouble with the strap cutting into my sons legs despite being at the recommended setting for his height age and weight. It’s been a continuous issue over the last few months and nothing we do seems to help aid these issues.

PAGE 36 OF THE MANUAL DESCRIBES HOW TO INSTALL RF WITH SEATBELT. IT SPECIFICALLY STATES, PULL THE FRONT OF THE SEAT PAD OFF OF THE FRONT OF THE CHILD RESTRAINT. IMPORTANT: IF CROTCH BUCKLE IS IN FRONT SLOT, PLACE VEHICLE BELT BEHIND BUCKLE. MAKE SURE BELTS LIES FLAT WITHOUT TWISTING. THIS SIMPLY ISNT POSSIBLE. THE BELTS COME FROM 2 DIFFERENT PLACES, SO THE DONT STAY FLAT AS SHOWN IN THE ILLUSTRATION. THE SHOULDER BELT INTERFERES WITH THE CROTCH BUCKLE. I BELIEVE THAT PARENTS THAT MAY NOT HAVE ISSUES WITH THIS POSSIBLY JUST ROUTE IT THROUGH THE BELT PATH AND CALL IT GOOD. HOWEVER, IF YOU FOLLOW THE MANUAL, YOU WILL RUN INTO THIS PROBLEM. THIS HAPPENS WITH EVERY SEATING LOCATION, EVERY RECLINE ANGLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH OTHER PARENTS AS WELL. I HAVE CONTACTED EVENFLO REGARDING THIS MATTER, THEY SUGGESTED THAT A CPST DO A LIVE VIDEO INSTALL, THE NEXT AVAILABLE IS WEEKS AWAY. I AM WONDERING HOW THIS HASNT BEEN RECALLED ALREADY DUE TO THESE ISSUES. I THINK THIS NEEDS TO BE REVIEWED FURTHER.
