2016 ACURA MDX- Vernon, FL
"My 2016 Acura MDX completely seized on the highway after a loud knocking sound, which perfectly matches the connecting rod bearing failure under Recall 23V-751. Even if my specific VIN isn't showing up as open on the website, I know the NHTSA has a major open investigation into 1.4 million of these V6 engines because hundreds of vehicles are failing exactly like mine outside the original recall scope. I need Acura to open a corporate goodwill case to inspect my engine and cover this repair."

2019 ACURA RDX- Santa Fe Springs, CA
The factory-installed LED Daytime Running Light (DRL) system on my 2019 Acura RDX has failed. The passenger-side DRL is completely inoperative, and an authorized Acura dealership documented that the driver's-side DRL is beginning to fail as well. The affected components are available for inspection upon request dealership has declined to provide further documents and American Honda Moto Daytime Running Lights are a safety-related exterior lighting system designed to improve vehicle visibility to other motorists. The failure of one DRL and the developing failure of the second DRL may reduce vehicle visibility and create a potential safety concern. On July 3, 2026, Cerritos Acura inspected the vehicle and confirmed the condition. The dealership's written diagnosis states: "Recommend passenger headlight assembly due to daytime running light out. Recommend driver's headlight assembly due to daytime running light going out as well." The dealership recommended replacement of both headlight assemblies. The dealership found no evidence of collision damage, misuse, unauthorized modifications, or water intrusion. The DRL is an internal LED component that is not serviceable separately and requires replacement of the entire headlight assembly. The vehicle has been inspected by Cerritos Acura, an authorized Acura dealership. To my knowledge, the vehicle has not been inspected by police, insurance representatives, or any government agency there is no record of any only with the dealership. There were no warning lights, warning messages, dashboard indicators, or other symptoms before the failure occurred. The DRL failure happened without warning and was later confirmed by dealership inspection. I am concerned that the failure of both factory-installed LED DRL assemblies may indicate a defect in the lighting system rather than normal wear and tear. The condition was confirmed by an authorized Acura dealership and was not attributed to accident damage or other external causes.

2020 ACURA ILX- claxton , GA
Multipurpose camera unit failure code U3000-49. My camera does not keep its lane assist accurately and sways from side to side when it is working. 9 out of 10 times it does not work. Other acura owners of the ILX 2019-2022 have experienced the same codes and issues around 90K miles+. I have lights on my dashboard like Adaptive cruise control, Automatic braking system, Foward collision warning, Lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. These are all failure points connected to the camera. These safety features need to be recalled.

2017 ACURA TLX- taunton, MA
Acura TLX 2017, with only 112,000 miles. On [XXX], while the consumer was driving, the vehicle caught on fire. The consumer saw what appeared to be smoke coming from under the hood. The consumer stopped the vehicle immediately at a 4-way intersection, put it in park, and turned it off. The hood latch was open. When the consumer opened the hood, the engine compartment was on fire, and the car was engulfed in fire within seconds. Fire department and Police depratment arrived at the scene. The car was deemed a total loss, and the fire was determined to have started in the engine compartment. In May 2024, Acura stated that the connecting rod bearing needed replacement and that it was covered under the recall. However, 6 months after replacement, in October 2024, the knocking noise returned. The vehicle was brought to the Acura dealership, which noted at that time that the engine needed to be replaced, but the repair was denied under the recall this time. As required and recommended by the Acura Dealership, as well as by the recall, which noted safety risks, the consumer moved forward with having the engine replaced by the Acura Dealership, and the cosnsumer paid out of pocket. The vehicle was at the Acura dealership in Westwood for service from October 2024 until February 2025. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2016 ACURA MDX- Clyde, KS
"Vehicle experienced a sudden flashing check engine light pulled over checked oil restarted car flashing check engine light went away then started flashing again a few miles down the road (Cylinder 3 misfire) accompanied by severe engine knocking. The engine locked up/seized while hot. car was stuck on the road and was unable to shift to neutral. After cooling down, the engine restarted but produces a heavy metallic scraping and loud squealing noise from internal friction. This matches the exact failure mechanism of connecting rod bearing failure under investigation PE25008, but Honda/Acura has excluded this VIN from active recalls. I was forced to pay $389 out-of-pocket for an emergency tow."

2025 ACURA MDX- Marlton, NJ
I was driving w a passenger on a busy 4 lane road and trying to make a left turn. When I tried to hit the gas after coming to a stop, my car would not move. I did not know what was happening, as it turned out the car had shifted into park and turned off. Extremely dangerous scenario. I had to take my foot off the brake, restart the the car and put it in drive again to move. I brought it to the dealer the following day, they said they fixed it with a gear shield as the trans had dirt in it and a new starter. However, yesterday, prob about 6 or so months later it happened again. I went directly to the dealer. They kept the car over night. Today I was told the my battery charge was too low and the auto idle engine on/off turned off due to it being not having enough charge. Totally different excuse than the first time. Also, when I dropped it off I was told someone else had dropped their 2025 MDX off that same day for the same reason. I am very concerned, worried and nervous when I drive it. It helps if I turn the auto on/off idle stop off, but I must do that every time I start the car as it resets each time the car is turned off. Obviously I forget sometimes. It is a major concern that I feel the dealership is not taking seriously or showing much concern for my safety. Thank you for your help.

2025 ACURA RDX- Hamden, CT
Incident Description: Spontaneous Rear Window Shattering On the night of August 28th, 2026, my 2025 Acura RDX was parked legally in my apartment complex's residential parking area. There was no severe weather, falling debris, or external activity in the area. When I returned to the vehicle the following morning on August 29th, 2026, I discovered that the rear windshield glass had completely shattered and collapsed inward. There are no impact marks, points of contact, or signs of forced entry, indicating that the breakage occurred spontaneously due to a known structural stress or manufacturing defect. I contacted 3 local Acura dealerships about this ongoing manufacturing defect and even mentioned the TSB-22-014 number issued by Acura for this specific issue. However, the service managers/technicians at all three dealerships insisted that this issue was only for older models (2019 and 2020), and has been fixed for newer models. All three dealerships refused to even do an official inspection of the rear windshield glass shattering to confirm that it was a manufacturing defect, leaving me to fix the glass myself. I had the rear windshield glass replaced by Safelite, and filed a reimbursement request case with Acura Corporate. Luckily, this happened while my car was parked and with no one in the vehicle. However, this could pose a massive safety risk, as it could easily happen with people in the vehicle while the car is being driven and could potentially cause injuries to the car passengers if this manufacturing issue is not addressed immediately.
