2021 AUDI Q7- Dallas, GA
On startup, the instrument cluster (Audi Virtual Cockpit) takes an abnormally long time to illuminate. When it does come on, the check engine light and multiple other warning indicators are illuminated. First noticed about a month ago when the panel with the speed indicator wouldn't light up or took a long time to illuminate. I took the car to three dealerships before Audi mentioned that this is a manufacturing issue. The vehicle was taken to Jim Ellis Audi, Marietta, GA (Repair Order 106862U) in August 2026. The technician's diagnostic notes recorded a fault described as "control module for instrument cluster — optical data bus — no communication." The dealer referenced an internal Technical Service Bulletin describing an intermittent hardware defect in the Audi Virtual Cockpit logic module, attributed to a manufacturing/semiconductor issue at the supplier level. Per the TSB, if the instrument cluster's production date is before February 1, 2025, the cluster must be replaced. The dealer quoted $3,093.81 to replace the instrument cluster assembly. I am aware that NHTSA recall 25V201 (Audi internal number 90VC) covers 2021 Q7 vehicles for a related virtual cockpit shutdown defect, remedied with a free software update.

2020 AUDI Q5- Stilwell, KS
Engine Start Malfunction Warning Light. Apparently, this has been a problem with the 2020 Q5 (and others) from water backing up from clogged moonroof drainage system allowing water into the L rear compartment housing the Comfort Control Module, wiring, fuses, etc. (or other roof drainage problems also saturating the CCM) Dealership has determined that damage to the CCM and corroded wiring will cost about $5500 to replace and program. Audi, I believe. sustained a class action lawsuit and agreed to cover that problem with the moonroof drainage system up to 90000 miles. However, my vehicle is at 114000, but I never received any type of notice of there being a problem or that the drainage system should be evaluated from Audi. And this had to have been occurring for years for system corrosion and failure. This apparently can cause the vehicle to freeze in the middle of driving, which is a significant risk, as well as other problems of inability to access vehicle and multiple other warning lights. The warranty for this problem should be extended to cover damages incurred from the poor drainage system design and improper notification of such by Audi.

2008 AUDI Q7- Colorado Springs , CO
Last year I bought my Audi q7 2008 3.6 v6 and This car really smells like gas so bad on the inside. It’s becoming so strong my garage smells like it too and my children are complaining about headaches. I now also have an Audi q7 2013 3.0 v6 supercharge gas. And this one really has that same leaking strong gas smell. There’s even mentions of it on the invoice from the shops I’ve been to. Sometimes I can smell it then others it’s irresistible and I don’t know if me and my children or others on the road or safe.

2022 AUDI SQ5- Dawsonville, GA
On July 17,2026 my vehicle suddenly overheated. All warning lights came on and I stopped immediately. The car had to be towed to North Atlanta Audi for inspection and repair. I was told the waterpump had failed and corrupted the vacuum lines. There was no symptoms or previous warnings at any time. The repair bill was going to be outrageous. The service department person contacted Audi and they agreed to furnish new parts but I would have to pay all labor cost. I had no choice but to agree. During the repair the turbo charger was damaged when being removed. Audi again agreed to furnish the parts but I would have to pay for the repairs. I feel like this was a catastropic failure with the vehicle being less than 4 years old. I did have 83,000 miles on it. When Audi provided the new parts they sent an upgraded/updated waterpump. This appeared to be an admission that they knew the original waterpump was faulty. This was a very costly repair. I would like to know if there have been similar issues with other owners of this make and model.

2011 AUDI Q5- Andover, MA
During an inspection of my 2011 Audi Q5 at Audi Burlington, severe corrosion was discovered on the rear subframe, which supports rear suspension components. The corrosion was substantially worse than normal surface rust and may compromise the structural integrity of the subframe and suspension mounting points. The condition was not readily visible during ordinary vehicle use because portions of the subframe are covered. The vehicle has been operated in the northeastern United States, where road salt is used. I was advised that the rear subframe requires replacement at an estimated cost of approximately $5,884. I am concerned that continued deterioration could result in separation or movement of a suspension mounting point and a loss of vehicle control. Audi has not issued a recall or offered to cover the repair. I am aware of similar reports involving Audi Q5 rear subframe corrosion and request that NHTSA investigate whether the design permits moisture, salt and debris to remain against the subframe and cause premature structural corrosion.

2025 AUDI Q4 E-TRON- DENVER, CO
I am filing a safety complaint regarding my leased 2025 Audi Q4 e-tron, leased new with under 500 miles and now at approximately 8,200 miles. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has ongoing brake-related issues affecting low-speed operation: a rough or grinding brake pedal feel and intermittent brake squeal during rolling stops, turns, and parking maneuvers. The most concerning issue is unexpected parking brake or emergency braking activation during low-speed pull-off and parking maneuvers, causing the vehicle to abruptly jolt to a stop. This has happened approximately four times between March and July 2026, beginning around 6,000 miles, including while pulling to the roadside and while parking with my foot already on the brake. No other vehicle was nearby during these events, and the behavior is not consistent or predictable, creating a risk of unexpected stopping during normal low-speed operation. This does not match normal EV regenerative braking based on my experience with other EVs, including another Q4 e-tron, and appears specific to this vehicle. I reported these concerns to authorized Audi dealers and Audi Customer Experience. In February 2026 I brought the vehicle to an authorized dealer for a brake-related appointment; a technician did not inspect it because the service associate said he did not think anything was wrong, and I later learned the appointment was canceled rather than documented. I also raised these concerns with a second authorized dealer during a one-year service visit and on two additional occasions. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer to my knowledge, and has not been inspected by police, insurance, or an independent service center. I am not aware of warning lamps before the jolting events. I am concerned the vehicle may have a defect involving the service brakes, parking brake, emergency braking system, software, sensors, or control-system behavior.

2022 AUDI Q7- centerport, NY
car in question is a 2022 Audi q7 55 tfsi - 3.0 turbo - 40k miles 2 owner. serviced at Audi since new. under warranty until 50k car throws a p0299 code - turbo underboost condition present - coolant migration from a faulty VW/AUDI water pump is sending coolant into vacuum lines causing catastrophic engine issues - car can not be driven. Audi will not fix under warranty and is trying to charge 5,800$ to replace waterpump/ associated lines. tells me the warranty "is for some items and not others" there is a class action lawsuit for a longstanding issue that Audi has been aware of since 2020 and not offering any solution for - Case No. 26-5678, NJ.

2003 AUDI S6- Lake Forest, CA
The contact owns a 2003 Audi S6. The contact stated that while refueling the vehicle in the driveway, gasoline was leaking from the vehicle. The vehicle was then repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 11V267000 (Fuel System, Other); however, the failure persisted. The dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was diagnosed with fuel tank failure. The contact was informed that the part was discontinued. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 176,000.

2018 AUDI Q3- Louisville, CO
On 5/18/2026 my wife left home to run an errand in our newly purchased 2018 Audi Q3. About 1-2 miles away from home, she experienced a strange sound coming from the engine bay, the car lost accelerating power, and the car displayed a warning message that the oil pressure was low and to stop operating the car. The power briefly returned, and she was able to safely return home. Thankfully, she hadn't gotten onto the highway, where the power loss could have caused loss of control of the car resulting in a crash that could have harmed her or others, perhaps fatally. After she returned, I used a consumer-level reader to get the code, which indicated there was catastrophic failure to one of the engine's cylinders. We had it towed to a nearby Audi dealership, where the service department confirmed one of the cylinders had failed and the car needed a new engine. The car had given numerous signals prior to this. First, the night we purchased the car, we experienced the exact same warning light and loss of power. We had it towed then to the same Audi dealership, who said it only needed an oil change. During that conversation, the Audi tech told me that the car had a head gasket replacement the prior year (2025), at around 55k mi, and that the previous owner reported other oil-related warnings. I was then told the oil sensors are sensitive, the car was fine, just be mindful of oil levels. In the proceeding weeks after that (and prior to the engine failure), we experienced moments when the same oil pressure warning flickered on-and-off. The failure on 5/18 was less than 45 days after our first indicator experience.
