  • 2017 AUDI Q7
    - ORLANDO, FL

The car caught fire and burnt to to the frame. The message that came on the dash board before it caught fire was camera. I told Audi and they disregard all of that. They told me they were going to check or do investigation and the only thing I was told after looking for answer was this! These people know my insurance was state minimum so everyone put aside our safety concerned… Thank you for your continued patience while allowing Volkswagen Group of America the opportunity to review the subject Audi Q7 bearing the Vehicle Identification Number, [XXX] . Inspection of the subject Audi Q7 was conducted on September 6, 2023 at Mac’s Towing in Dania Beach, FL. Our investigation found no sign or suggestion of any manufacturer defect or shortcoming present with the vehicle. While the root cause is unknown, we would see the damages as remaining an insurance matter in light of no sign or suggestion of any manufacturer defect or shortcoming being found. Should your insurance company believe that Volkswagen Group of America is responsible for any damages, they will contact us to subrogate the claim. • 2022 AUDI E-TRON
    - WINCHESTER, CA

Audi issued a recall notice in December 2023 regarding the high voltage battery possibly causing a fire. In the past 15 months since the recall I have not received any correspondence from Audi on a fix. I have checked with my Audi service manager several times and he stated Audi is monitoring the vehicle high voltage modules. I feel 15 months is excessive time for the manufacturer to provide a fix/repair to close the recall. This also affects the ability to trade or sell the car with a unrepaired recall.

  • 2018 AUDI Q5
    - Philadelphia, PA

I have owned the car for 2 years, purchased a 2018 Q5 from an Audi dealer. Within the first year, my thermostat failed causing the car to lose power and turn off while driving with my newborn baby. I also received the passenger airbag alert daily, which I did see there was a recall for this prior to buying the car. I also received the “add a quart of oil” message about 3 months after an oil change. I would like this car to be reviewed for excessive oil consumption. At the times of these messages no oil leak was found. Now, my car went in for an oil change and an oil and transmission oil leak has been found. Within 2 years of owning a car that has had regular maintenance, I have spent over $6,000 on service and repairs, which is unusual. I need help.

  • 2022 AUDI Q5
    - Midway, UT

I own a 2022 Audi Q5 Hybrid, and due to an unresolved recall (93AA), the vehicle’s plug-in hybrid functionality has been completely disabled since November 2024. The vehicle was designed to operate as a PHEV, but it can now only run on gasoline, significantly altering its intended use and efficiency. Audi has failed to provide a repair timeline or offer a loaner vehicle while the recall remains unresolved. Additionally, Audi of America has refused to buy back the vehicle, despite it no longer functioning as advertised. This situation raises serious concerns about the reliability of Audi’s hybrid and EV systems, as well as their ability to support affected customers. This recall effectively eliminates a core safety and performance feature of the vehicle, as owners relying on electric operation are forced to use gasoline instead. Given the uncertainty surrounding a fix, I am concerned about Audi’s ability to resolve this issue in a reasonable timeframe. Please see the attached complaint I made to my Utah attorney general's office.

  • 2019 AUDI Q7
    - Queen Creek, AZ

On my 2019 Audi Q7 anytime the headlights are activated either manually or automatically by the vehicle, it will pull up a "Right front parking light defective" error code. This code randomly showed up one day and has persisted ever since. Through research I have done on the issue it sounds like other 2017 Q7 models were also affected and recalled for this exact same issue. Clearly the issue is affecting later models as well that need to be included under the same recall. This issue puts my safety at risk by potentially limiting my visibility at night with a defective headlight.

  • 2018 AUDI Q7
    - Amherst, NH

Twice, without logically-relevant symptom or warning, when the vehicle attempted to accelerate from a low speed in the middle of a busy intersection, the AEB incorrectly activated, suddenly stopped the vehicle, startled the drivers, and nearly caused accidents. Turned out, this was known behavior caused by a design defect software bug in the "door control modules" for which a software update had been released but never publicly announced. Audi charged us $315 for the software update, but since it is a manufacturing defect causing a critical safety issue, it should be covered by a safety recall, all owners of Audi vehicles with the affected "door control modules" should be proactively notified of the software update and should receive it without cost.

    - Canton, MA

For over 24+ months now, the engine has been showing signs of excessive oil consumption. I've had the engine light come on requesting for me to add a quart of oil...on average, every 2,000 miles. I'm concerned with this excessive oil consumption as it is a major safety issue, as the piston rings may fail due to a possible faulty engine design (most likely since this excessive oil consumption is a frequent occurrence with other drivers of this vehicle). When discussed with the dealership, they are aware of the situation (2017-2019 Audi Q7 excessive oil consumption) and they request that I pay for an engine compression test. This amount of oil consumption shouldn't happen.

  • 2018 AUDI S4
    - Charlotte, NC

My 2018 Audi S4 has a catastrophic engine failure issue and this is common with the EA839 engine. There is a knocking in the motor that is caused by internal engine parts (rocker arms needle bearings) becoming loose and dislodged. The metal shavings travel in the motor oil and destroy the engine from the inside. Hendrick Audi northlake examined the car on February 26, and recommended a new engine be installed at a cost of $32,000. I contacted Audi customer care and they reviewed the case only to offer me no assistance with the new engine expense. My Audi S4 is a 2018 with less than 47k miles, and I am the fifth owner. I have been reading a lot of threads on Audi forums as well as Reddit about this problem, and this is not rare. This should be a class action lawsuit against Audi for making and selling a defective product. The EA839 engine from 2017 to 2020 is a ticking bomb from day one, almost engineered to fail prematurely. And Audi does nothing to remedy the problem. That is why I would like for NHTSA to get involved in this situation. Please look into this and let me know what I can do to assist with this. I can be reached at [XXX] or [XXX] . Thank you!! • 2014 AUDI Q5
    - Reston, VA

There is severe rust in the rear subframe. It's so bad that the rust has made holes right through the subframe - compromising its integrity. This is a serious safety issue as the subframe holds the suspension and wheels and could break at any point. This is not normal wear and tear. This is a manufacturer's defect and a major safety issue that needs to be addressed immediately.

  • 2023 AUDI Q4 E-TRON
    - Lebec , CA

In several occasions I have noticed my Audi Q4 windows and tailgate are open the next day in the morning in my garage, after I made sure all windows and doors are properly closed and locked, thank God hasn’t happened when parking in open public parking lots and or in raining days. Also many times after locking doors and applying brake properly (after double checking before getting out of my car) I receive on myAudi App the notification that “is not locked “, and after checking my car it’s “unlocked “. Sorry I don’t have pictures for this issue.
