The contact owns a 2020 Audi A5. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, it was noticed that the driver's side window had failed to remain up as intended. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with a defective window regulator. The vehicle remained at the dealer unrepaired. The contact related the failure with an unknown recall; however, the vehicle was not included. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.

The suction jet pump inside the fuel tank is designed to purge fuel from the Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) system. This mechanism could leak and cause a fire. I have informed Audi about the issue but they indicated there isn't a fix for the repair currently. They even stated there isn't a deadline or date they could give me for the repair.

During commute dash lit-up with "central indicator light", "Vehicle starting system; malfunction! Please contact Service" warning notice, "Audi pre sense" yellow-lit dash warning light, yellow-lit battery warning light that alternated to red-lit battery warning light. AC automatically shut off, radio shut off, was able to limp vehicle home. Restarting the vehicle gave a "Battery low voltage" reading then a vehicle failure "immediately turn vehicle off when safe" message followed by the "Vehicle starting system; malfunction! Please contact Service" warning notice. Towed Audi to local Audi shop in Charlottesville, VA, where it was diagnosed with starter generator failure, part was reportedly ordered on 27 July 2024; no indication as to whether the part has arrive at Audi shop. No details on the battery as of 01 August 2024.

The pre-sense; alert, seatbelt tightening and braking, was triggered unexpectedly when driving on the straight area of my side road without cause. There were no other vehicles, flying debri or animals in the path of the car to cause the sudden and abrupt braking. My car has since been inspected by the dealer and the result was the pre-sense safety feature is properly working. The report stated it was possible the sensor detected mailboxes or shrubs along the road. The final statement in the diagnostic report was “The customer can change the settings to red”. I now have no confidence in the safety performance of my car and fear it will happen at a time which will cause an accident.

* Electrical Harness. Yes - it should be available for inspection upon request * Driving 70-75 mph on [XXX] , when the car came to an abrupt de-acceleration. Alerts flashed on the dash "electrical system malfunction" and "drive system malfunction". Lost all power to the vehicle. Managed to drift across the highway to an exit ramp. Two 18 wheel transport trucks narrowly missed colliding with my vehicle. *Problem has been confirmed by the dealer. Part has to be manufactured for replacement. Not readily available. *No - the part has not been inspected other than at the dealership in N.C. *No - there were absolutely NO warning lights, alarms, messages or symptoms prior to this incident. When driving, without AND more importantly, WITH, a passenger in the front passenger seat, the Passenger Occupant Detection System (PODS) light goes on and indicates that the passenger air bag has been deactivated. I looked on line and saw that Audi has already recalled certain 2015-2019 Audi A3 Sedans but apparently my car is not part of the initial recall. I think the recall is BIGGER than Audi estimated and that my car should also be part of the recall. I plan to take to Audi to repair.

The contact owns a 2016 Audi A3. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine seized. The contact stated that there was an abnormally strong fuel odor inside the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that there was fuel leaking from the fuel tank. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed suction jet pump. The contact was informed that the fuel tank and the EVAP charcoal canister needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V110000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact expressed that the failure was very scary. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 41,259.

Vehicle malfunctioned and stopped in middle of highway with no warning. It forcefully braked to shutdown. Was able to restart car and drive away after a minute. Two days later it had emergency SOS warning on dashboard. Took vehicle in for diagnostic and repair. When pushing software update the module locked up and car would not start. Replaced module but not confident vehicle will not repeat random behavior. No data provided by Audi to ensure this was not trial and error corrections and that the vehicle is safe.

The fuel level sensor that is built into the gas tank, sensor #2, has failed and I only had 30,354 miles on the car at the time of failure. Audi Birmingham, in Birmingham, MI, confirmed the failure via a diagnostic test.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring) erroneously lights up, hence, incorrectly disabling all the safety driving features of the vehicle. We have already checked this with Audi. Audi has confirmed to us that there is a DEFECT and that they are working on a fix which is due as of Sept'2024 (estimated). A PPS has been created. This is dangerous as the system disables all safe driving features like ABS, Traction control etc.. the moment TPMS error activates up incorrectly.
