Recall has no solution after months of waiting. I have warnings on dash to service charging system. This is not a fix for the problem. I do not feel safe driving this without the repair. The car has under 18,000 miles on it. I need this bought back by Chrysler so I can get a car that works.

This is a complaint that NHTSA recall number 22V-077, opened February 11, 2022, is taking too long to resolve. It is currently June 21, 2022, over 4 months after this recall was issued, and there is still no resolution from the manufacturer. The prohibitions stated in the recall to not park the vehicle near any structures or other vehicles practically prohibit the use of the vehicle at all. Where can I drive my car where it will not be parked by other cars or structures? Where am I supposed to park it at home exactly? Furthermore, I paid extra money to have a partially electic vehicle and prohibiting charging for this long period of time reduces that value as it requires the car to be used as a gas vehicle rather than the electric hybrid I purchased. This issue requires immediate attention.

There have been multiple recalls on this vehicle where issues can be fires. MOPAR/Chrysler, in each incident, has advised not to charge our vehicle or even park inside. The latest recall occurred at the beginning of 2022 and there still isn't a remedy. I will be on orders for the US Gov't and now I can't take my car overseas because of this open recall with no remedy. Its unacceptable for us to not charge a plug-in hybrid car when that is the only reason we purchased this car. And to not park in our own garage is ridiculous. Additional costs of gas (since we shouldn't charge) as well as costs for cleanings (parking outdoors) has occurred. And now the inconvenience of figuring what I should do with this car before being deployed overseas has been a real nightmare.

I received the recall notice for possible fires created by the battery system for propulsion. After two calls to Chrysler and just having had the regular 12 V engine battery replaced at a very expensive cost, still no solution to the recall. The Chrysler dealer who replaced the battery also had no knowledge of when a fix would be available or what it might be. My suspicion is that the fix will be an entirely new propulsion battery. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED INFORMATION ON AN ESTIMATED TIME OF WHEN A REMEDY WOULD BE AVAILABLE.
