Upon coming to a stop to make a left turn, while pulling in the clutch to engage first gear, the engine quit, stranding me in the middle of the roadway while attempting to restart motorcycle. Traffic to my rear could collide into me as well as possible cross traffic. This has happened multiple times in multiple situations. No warning lights or messages occurred prior to engine stalling. While personally investigating the problem I have found that this appears to be a common problem with this model of motorcycle and anecdotal reports indicate the manufacturer has developed an internal repair procedure to address this issue only after owners have reported it, which is after the potential safety issue has occurred. My motorcycle was purchased new from the dealership.

Intermittently the motorcycle will stall when riding if the clutch is engaged. This is very dangerous because when it happens I am unable to apply any throttle to move out of the way of danger while on the road until I start the motorcycle up again. I have taken the motorcycle to the dealership where they spent 29 days fixing it but the issue is still there

Urgent, this Ducati purchase posed a great danger to my safety and life due to the loss of rear braking ability and a fire that was a result of brake fluid spilling on to the exhaust system, this failure posed a great danger to my life, should I had loss this ability to brake due to a sudden slow down in traffic. I did suffer what seems to be a sprain to my left hand as I desperately pulled both left and right hand levers extremely tight in order to stop the Ducati from hitting a wall after loosing completely the rear brakes. This 2019 Ducati is currently unsafe to be driven in Arizona streets and or Highways, and is out of service due to multiple melted break lines, missing Harness cover, brake line heat shield damage and damage associated with the fire. Ducati was purchased on September 4th 2021. Motorcycle miles at the time of purchase were at 108 miles stated on Sales Deal Deposit Receipt and time of Receipt is documented at 3:19pm. I left the dealer ship in Chandler at 4:32pm on September 4th 2021. The loss of rear brakes and fire was captured by my home security surveillance cameras at 6:43 pm in Tucson AZ. The mileage on the Ducati are at 235 miles, the purchase was at 108 miles for a total use of 127 miles and is unusable on the same day of purchase.

The motorcycle stalls after engaging the clutch when approaching a stop. This does not happen at every stop but does happen every time I ride the motorcycle. This put me at risk because other drivers around me didn't know that I needed to restart my motorcycle before I could begin moving again. The dealership said that they were unable to reproduce the issue. No one has inspected the motorcycle except for the dealer. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. This started after six months after I purchased the motorcycle. This is after the first scheduled maintenance.

No warning lights or messages occurred prior to engine stalling. While personally investigating the problem I found that this appears to be a common problem with this year make and model of motorcycle which the manufacturerer either has been unable to or refuses to address. Note that I had previously owned and operated an earlier model of this motorcycle (2017) and had no such problems with it while putting over 20k miles on it.

After riding the bike for 30 minutes or more the bike stalls at every stop sign and red light I would guess that the idle or throttle position sensor needs adjustment or re map computer to adjust fuel air mixture after initial start up. Very dangerous in my opinion since I have issue restarting the bike at stop lights or stop signs with other vehicles assuming I should be moving but not

I've had this bike since Feb 2020. Very intermittently, when coming to a stop, if I pull the clutch, in preparation for downshifting, the engine cuts out. It always starts back up though. this happened on the first day that I had the bike, and still happens at random. Sometimes it won't happen for weeks. Sometimes it will happen multiple times on a single ride. I'm not the only one with this issue. I've discussed this on online forums, and other owners have the same problem. Engine stalls intermittently during clutch in (no load condition). This has happened in traffic at a traffic light when slowly rolling (when waiting on a vehicle in front to make a left hand turn), then need to restart engine -this increases the chance of a rear-end collision. Motorcycle ran perfect for approx first 1500 miles, then started stalling and having rough idle. Dealer performed charcoal canister filter replacement and issue went away for approx 700 miles before returning. Returned to dealer and second time they cleaned the throttle bodies and fuel tank. Now approx 500 miles later, it has stalled again two more times.

While riding the motorcycle and decelerating when approaching a red light or stop sign, the bike will shut off when the clutch is pulled in. This does not occur every time, but it makes me lose confidence in the bike because if this were to happen mid turn or on the freeway, I can be seriously injured. Since the problem occurs intermittently, it cannot be replicated at the dealer and therefore they have not been able to identify the problem.

The contact owns a 2015 Ducati Monster 821. The contact stated that while riding at a moderate rate of speed, the rear brakes failed as the motorcycle began to roll backward. The contact notified the dealer of the failure and expressed his concern about the dangers of a possible failure. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The brake lines were bled, and the motorcycle was repaired. Upon speaking with the dealer, he was informed that they were aware of the potential failure with the brakes however, no action was taken. The contact felt unsafe owning the motorcycle. The motorcycle was sold. Recently, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21V335000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact notified the manufacturer and expressed outrage that similar motorcycles were still in operation despite the known failure. The motorcycle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,500.
