2021 FORD BRONCO SPORT Complaints

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked and occupied, while attempting to turn on the air condition or heating system, there was an abnormally strong fuel odor coming from the vents. The contact stated that a dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to Meineke Car Care Center where it was diagnosed and determined that the Oxygen sensor threads were stripped. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle warranty had expired. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

Rear wheels seems to lock up if you turn a sharp turn right or left. Rear wheels seems to slide,causing safety concern. Dealer has not been contacted. Manufacturer has not been notified. No warnings or lights

I took my 21 Bronco Sport Big Bend in to have a different recall fixed and also have an oil change performed. I told the service technician that my coolant level was always low but I could not find any leaks under the vehicle. The service department called me and told me that there was coolant leaking into the cylinders of my engine and I needed the long block replaced. There was no indicator light for the low coolant or any type of engine light that would alert me of an issue. I eventually got a call that they had received parts for my engine replacement. The service technician told me that they are seeing a lot of Bronco Sports have this issue, but I never received a recall notice nor can I find an open recall online for this issue. I believe my family and I were put at risk due to this issue because of the potential for engine failure or damage.

My 2021 Bronco Sport Outerbanks running at 73,000 miles, transmission has given out per Rich Ford Service Dept. I have to spend $10k plus to get it fixed. My warranty ran out. I seen a lot of people having the same issue. Transmission will not go forward or backwards. There should be a recall.

They sold me a car that wasn’t ready to be sold. They promised to fix it, but they didn’t. I have a non-conformity part on my car and it’s supposed to be certified that supposed to be on there cause preowned CPO certified the non-conformity part don’t fit in there or fit as it supposed to because it’s not after four part because they don’t do it. I bought extra. I bought extra warranties and extra upgrades and they’re not honoring it they want to give all my paperwork when I bought the car. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was driving rough and failed to properly accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The following day while driving to the local dealer, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the transmission fluid pump had failed and there were metal shavings inside the transmission fluid. The contact was advised that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 122,402.

I was driving 70mph on [XXX] in New Jersey when all of a sudden with no prior warning the battery light came on and my vehicle became very hard to control, I felt it shutting down so I immediately pulled to the only shoulder which happened to be on the left. The car shut down and would not start again. A State Trooper said I can not stay on the left shoulder and decided to push my car to the next exit. Since it was an electrical problem my car kept locking up and would not stay in neutral and the steering kept locking as well. I was being pushed on the left shoulder with car speeding past me while my car was locking up which also cause my tires to blow out, I was afraid for my life but the officer continued to push me. This is the second time my vehicle shut down on me leaving me in a dangerous situation, I'm afraid that next time it happens It could cause me to get seriously injured or my life! I had to have it towed to the dealership and I was charged almost $1000 for repairs and 2 weeks later I received a recall letter on this issue for the software. Husbands Ford Bronco sport has had a constant smell of exhaust that fills the interior of the vehicle since purchased. Dealer said there was a “recall and fixed the problem”. It only lasted 2 days until it began again. My husband gets lightheaded and dizzy while driving and has to stop and roll his windows down. He almost passed out while driving home with our children. Dealership says “this is a common problem and Ford doesn’t have enough parts at the moment to fix it and it will be around 2-3 months until they do.” Also, the car has suddenly stopped while driving or won’t start back up. It has to sit for a day or so and then it will start. Tried replacing the battery and it didn’t work. We’ve had to leave it sitting in random parking lots several times.
