Manufacturer Recall Number23S64 NHTSA Recall Number23V905 THE ENGINE OIL PUMP DRIVE BELT TENSIONER ARM FRACTURED, SEPARATED FROM THE TENSIONER BACKING PLATE, RESULTING IN A LOSS OF ENGINE OIL PRESSURE. THE FORD DEALERSHIP HAS CONFIRMED AND DOES NOT HAVE PARTS FOR REPAIR UNTIL 2025. FORD WILL NOT PROVIDE A RENTAL AND THIS VEHICLE IS NEEDED FOR WORK. FORD STATES THIS ISSUE DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR A RENTAL CAR. WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?

Oil pump has failed due to recall. There is supposed to be an interim fix if your oil pump fails but Ford is telling me there is nothing they can do until Spring of next year. Oil Pressure Low light has came on so I stopped driving the vehicle. I do not want to cause further damage. My safety is at risk because I am expected to operate a vehicle with the Low Oil Pressure light on. This is not safe

The oil pump failed in May. Resulting in blowing my motor. Broke down at a red light which I would say is unsafe !!! My car has been at the ford dealership in Athens since May. I need a car!! I haven’t had a car since may . I’m not paying for a rental weekly when I wouldn’t even be without a car if not for this recall. I need something done to get me a working drivable car!
