    The contact owns a 2012 Ford Edge. The contact stated while starting the vehicle after refueling, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle jerked. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle lost motive power and stalled while in traffic. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and exited the highway. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the fuel line pulse damper metal housing was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel line needed to be replaced with one that did not have a damper. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 14V002000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) or 12V438000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) as the VIN was not included. The manufacturer advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 105,000.

The contact stated that the front driver's side and passenger's side door latches failed to close the doors securely; causing the interior cabin light to remain illuminated.     The contact owns a 2012 Ford Edge. The contact stated that on numerous occasions the door ajar warning light intermittently illuminated while all the doors were properly closed. The contact then stated that the navigation system and the rear-view camera intermittently displayed a distorted or blank screen. Additionally, the contact stated that the theft system alarm started to malfunction and was inadvertently activated. As a result, the battery failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the open-door sensor circuit failed, and the door latch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number and transferred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 151,193.

    When braking my brakes hit the floor. I had the booster and master cylinder replaced. 2 years later my car has been at the dealer for 2 months. They replaced the booster again and now say I need a HCU unit. The HCU is on stop sale and now I still am without a car. I have paid 1450.00 for the second booster so far and if they can get the HCU then it’s another 1500.00. My car only has 73,000 miles on it

The contact stated that she pumped the brake pedal several times and was able to slow the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the brake failure was intermittent. The contact drove the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the failure might be the brake booster. The mechanic bled the brake lines and adjusted the brakes. The vehicle was repaired; however, the brake failure recurred. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 123,000.

    The contact’s daughter owns a 2012 Ford Edge. The contact stated that his daughter received the Manufacturer's Recall Number CSP-13N02 (Service Brakes). The recall was repaired however, the contact stated that four years later while his daughter was driving at an undisclosed speed, she depressed the brake pad however, the vehicle failed to stop. The contact’s daughter had to apply pressure by pumping the brakes several time to stop the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the master cylinder leaked into the brake booster and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure . The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number and advised to call the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 106,000.

    When I had to make a quick stop the brake pedal went to floor and has been this way had it checked and found THE ABS HCU has a valve sticking and was also told it is a issue on other edge and other ford vehicles scared to drive car a brake issue that really needs fird attention
