2022 FORD ESCAPE Complaints

The contact owned a 2022 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while slowing down to stop a second vehicle traveling approximately 50 MPH, crashed into the rear of the vehicle. During the crash, the contact's vehicle was pushed into the rear of a third vehicle causing severe damage to the vehicle's frontend. The contact indicated that the front driver and passenger side air bags did not deploy and both the front driver and passenger side seatbelts failed to secure the occupants. The driver sustained a head contusion, neck and back, and right calf injuries, and the front passenger sustained a head contusion, thumb, back, neck, and shoulder injuries. Both occupants were transported to the local hospital and received medical treatment. The vehicle was destroyed and towed away. A police report was taken at the scene. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 34,000.

I was driving down the interstate and came up on a wreck. When traffic started to move again my transmission wouldnt engage. The active cruise had quit working about 10 minutes prior.

I have a 2022 Ford Escape and the rear brakes started making a noise in reverse. I know Ford has a recall on this problem for Broncos and 2021 Ford Escapes and a few 2022 Ford Excapes but my is not included. I feel this should be covered either under the recall 21C31 or under my car warranty. I have talked to Ford and they know there is a problem with the brakes but wont cover my car.

Since purchase airbags light stays on reported this several times! Next engine oil has been leaking on hot parts of engine report to manufacturer and they are doing nothing this is my only vehicle! This could cause a fire! Several vehicles same year and model same problem!

I entered the driver seat of my 2022 Ford Escape SE and closed the drivers door. I pushed in the brake and pushed the button to start the engine. Immediately the rear passenger side window rolled down without me activating the switch. I then could not roll the window back up. I turned off the car and started it again and tried the switch to roll it up but it didn’t work. I left the car running, exited the driver seat and walked around to the rear passenger door to activate the switch but the window would not roll up. I confirmed the child safety lock on the rear windows were not activated. I contacted the dealership and was told this is an issue that the regularly have people bring their vehicles in for.

The contact stated that the failure occurred while the vehicle was in reverse(R). Additionally, the contact stated that the rear tires were off balance, causing the vehicle to shake abnormally. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the rear brakes were operating normally; the wheels were re-balanced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.

The vehicle was being flat towed which had been set to Neutral tow position, per Ford’s published procedure. After driving 5-7 miles from Old Orchard Beach, ME to Foxboro, MA we stopped at a stoplight. We turned right after coming to a complete stop. The front wheels locked up. We traveled about 20 yards to safely avoid any traffic issues. The vehicle had reset the transmission to Park. A set of tires on the front axle were flat spotted. The car was not running. The vehicle was dropped at a Ford dealer and the service technician informed me that there were several software updates that needed done including one to the Gateway System that could have caused my problem

Check Arms spot welds on driver door completely gave out. My door is creaking popping. Door feels like its going to fall off. It literally happened from one day to the next.

The vehicle immediately self-started and operated normally. The contact stated that during the failure the brake pedal was not pressed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The contact stated that the failure had occurred shortly after the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V187000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The failure mileage was 33,007.
