The contact stated that on several occasions while driving approximately 50 MPH, added pressure needed was needed while depressing the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that she was concerned that the brakes might properly fail to stop the vehicle and cause an accident. Additionally, the contact stated that during inclement weather while shifted into reverse(R), there was a loud screeching sound coming from the brake pedal while the brake pedal was depressed. The dealer was notified of the failure and an appointment was scheduled. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 27,000.

While driving on a divided highway in the right-most lane with adaptative cruise control and lane-centering turned on, the steering wheel jerked to the right harder and faster than the driver could react, causing the wheels to collide with a concrete curb that led up to a pedestrian walk way next to the highway. We have not had issues otherwise with the lane-centering. And on a 12-mile diagnostic drive, the dealership did not observe the behavior.

Both rear tires have broken belts at 26,700 miles. I have the tires if want to inspect. Dealer confirmed they are bad - takes no responsibility for warranty. I just had vehicle at dealer to fix under warranty rear brakes. Did not notice problem at that time. no warning lamps. Noticeable from increased noise level when driving. I have no idea why they should have failed. I suspect a manufacturing defect.
