Recall Number: Ford 25S37 / NHTSA 25V236 Issue: Unresolved safety recall due to parts unavailability for over six weeks. My vehicle is affected by Ford Recall 25S37 / NHTSA Recall 25V236 involving brake master cylinder leakage and loss of front braking performance. I took my Ford truck to a dealership on March 2, 2026, for the recall notice, but the dealer has been unable to obtain the required parts for more than six weeks. They report the parts are on back order with no estimated availability from Ford. This delay has left my vehicle with a known safety defect that increases stopping distance and crash risk. Federal recall law requires manufacturers to provide a free remedy within a reasonable time, and a six week delay exceeds that standard. I have spoken now twice with Ford, and they have not provided repair, alternative transportation, replacement, or refund options I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance because Ford has failed to provide a timely remedy for a safety critical defect, and I am unable to get the recall completed due to Ford’s parts unavailability.

Had powertrain engine light come on in Jan 2026 and transmission would hesitate and had problems with downshifting on interstate. Fiord said no recalls on the vehicle.. I, had transmission service done and still had problems with it downshifting while on freeway. On March 29,2026 truck would not start. Message came on stating it was in drive when it was actually parked. Had to tow it in. Diagnostic test was done with Powertrain Control Module Parking Aid module Body control module etc problems reported. The same problems that other Fords were having but Ford said this truck wasn’t included. Auto shop got the part directly from manufacturer and installed the parts. Battery was low because of this and had to be replaced. Total cost $1730.64. We only have this vehicle and had to get a rental car while in shop. Also we are on a limited income on social security and therefore this put a huge financial strain on us. We and other could have been seriously hurt and truck damaged as we were on interstate 80. Itemized bill and diagnostic report is available. I am requesting Ford to reimburse me as they stated no recall and now as of April 20, 2026 there is a recall on this very issue

Transmission issue? Hard clunk/jerk when approaching highway speed. Happens intermittently without throwing a code. Feels like it's trying to shift down into a low gear for no reason. So far the problem has been quick to resolve right after it occurs. No error codes. It has done this a handful of times. One time it went into limp mode and there was a code p0116 for a transmission coolant temperature sensor. The sensor was replaced but the problem persists without a tripping a code.
