I was driving on highway at 60 mph when drivers side rear window suddenly shattered. It was very confusing what was going on until my wife said that the window shattered. Luckily, no on was in that seat since there was glass everywhere. I dont believe anything hit the window, there was no indication something was wrong intil the shatter noise.

I was driving at 45 miles an hour. With no warning, the car had 28 warnings pop up and it just died with no warning. No power steering, no brake assist at all, no lights (not even emergency light would turn on). I was not able to put it into neutral so I was just stuck. Ford roadside was not able to get moving so I was just stuck. I called a tow and it was dragged up. The dealer determined it was a faulty 12v battery.

I first received notification from Ford concerning this Safety Recall but despite calls to numerous dealers throughout the area no parts as as yet , January 5th, are available to make the repairs. It has been 8 months since the Safety Recall was sent out. This is well past a reasonable time for Ford to have the parts available.

After the vehicle sat parked for 12 days, upon initial startup, the vehicle experienced a total failure of the Electronic Brake Booster (EBB). The dashboard displayed multiple critical fault codes including "Brake System Failure," "Service AdvanceTrac," and "Check Brake System." The vehicle software triggered a safety interlock, refusing to shift out of Park, rendering the vehicle completely disabled. This failure is a direct match to the defect described in NHTSA Campaign 25V488 (Ford Recall 25S77). Ford’s official filing for that recall admits the EBB module is "susceptible to normal but infrequent voltage disturbances" which causes the EBB motor to enter a "faulted state" or shut down. My 2023 Lightning is currently excluded from this recall despite experiencing the exact same "voltage disturbance" failure mode upon waking from a sleep cycle. This is a critical safety defect that resulted in a total loss of power braking assist and vehicle immobilization. Ford is currently refusing to cover the $2,800 repair cost under the recall, despite the identical nature of the failure

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally document and complain about the ongoing and unresolved issues with my vehicle, which has been subjected to repeated repair attempts without a successful or lasting resolution. What began as a single repair concern has escalated into an extended, exhausting process involving multiple failed repairs, continued warning indicators, and a complete lack of confidence in the vehicle’s safety and reliability. Since owning this vehicle, it has been brought in for service numerous times due to recurring mechanical issues. The most recent and most serious issue began as a rear differential leak. That initial diagnosis led to a rear end replacement, which then spiraled into additional repairs and complications. As of now, the vehicle has undergone eight separate repair attempts related to this issue. After the most recent repair, I was explicitly informed by the dealership that the vehicle was fully repaired and ready for pickup. However, upon arriving and taking possession of the vehicle, I immediately observed active warning lights on the dashboard, including: •“Service Now” •“Service Rear Differential” This occurred at the time of pickup, indicating that the vehicle was either not properly repaired, not properly inspected, or knowingly released in an unresolved and potentially unsafe condition. I was forced to return the vehicle immediately, continuing a cycle that has become unacceptable. This pattern demonstrates a serious breakdown in diagnostic accuracy, repair quality, and accountability. Eight repair attempts without resolution is excessive by any reasonable standard and has resulted in: •Significant inconvenience and loss of time •Ongoing uncertainty about the vehicle’s safety and mechanical integrity •Loss of trust in both the dealership’s service department and the product itself Adding to this frustration, I was directly told by the dealership owner that my only option at this point was to sue.

Regarding EV Battery Failure – 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning”} To Whom It May Concern, NHTSA I am writing to formally file a complaint against Ford Motor Company regarding a serious and ongoing battery issue with my electric vehicle, which remains unresolved despite multiple attempts to obtain warranty service. Vehicle Information: Vehicle: 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning VIN: [XXX] Mileage: Approximately 38000miles Warranty Status: Vehicle is still fully covered under the manufacturer’s warranty Description of the Problem: The vehicle’s battery is not functioning properly. After a full charge, the vehicle only drives approximately 50 miles, after which the battery becomes completely dead. Ford advertises a range of approximately 230 miles per full charge, which my vehicle has never achieved. The battery warning and error messages appear repeatedly on the dashboard, clearly indicating a battery-related issue. Despite this, no effective repair has been performed. Issues with Ford and Authorized Dealers: Ford Motor Company repeatedly refers me to authorized dealers. Each time I visit a dealer, I am charged approximately $140 for inspection, and the dealer claims that the battery is “fine” without providing any real fix. The problem continues exactly the same. Ford refuses to take responsibility and continues to redirect me back to dealers. Many local dealers do not even have qualified technicians capable of replacing or repairing EV batteries. They only perform basic checks, collect money, and return the vehicle without resolving the issue. This repeated back-and-forth between Ford and dealers has caused me financial loss, extreme inconvenience, and mental stress. The vehicle is unreliable and unsafe for regular use. Requested Resolution: I respectfully request the following: 1.Immediate replacement of the defective battery under manufacturer warranty, or 2.Assignment to a qualified EV service facility that can properly diagnose and replace the battery, a INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AC

As I was driving the right rear door flung open and would not engage when pulled back in. Had to drive home with a door that would not shut. Yes safety was at risk for kids in back seat. Confirmed by previous reports and service department at dealership. No warning lamps that were noticed.

when i go to accelerate (not every time) (random times) from a near stop during a yielding situation, engine power hesitates to come back on. I've been nearly rear ended twice entering onto highways because of it. i have an appointment Friday with a dealership but they said that they may not be able to do anything for it...im reporting this because that is not acceptable behavior from a dealership. its a safety issue and its under warranty....FIX IT!! when this issue happens i can have the pedal full pressed and it takes several second for the engine to wake up from switching from electric to gas..(im only able to move 1 to 3 MPH)..or if i want it to snap out of it sooner i rapidly press the accelerator in and out multiple times....both ways eventually kicks the engine power back on lunging the truck forward.
