While I am driving the vehicle at the posted speed limit it will suddenly down shift into first gear. This causes the vehicle to decelerate quickly and unexpectedly. Fortunately this has happened while driving in the city at 30mph and not while I was driving on the freeway at 70mph as it may have caused a loss of control. The vehicle is not being operated at this time due to malfunction happening several times. I contacted Ford and they stated there was a recall but my vehicle exceeded the mileage limit. I strongly believe that this is a safety issue as it can cause loss of control.

Bought a used truck. That needed timing chain and cam phasers a week after I bought it from a Chevy dealer. They sent me to Ford dealer it cost $2800.00 a week later it did the same thing. I was out of town and could not get back in the month. So when I got back they scanned again and charged me again. Then told me it needs a new engine. So I contacted Ford customer service and they said nothing they can do. I owe $10,000.00 and they want $11,000.00 for an engine. I have had the truck for a year but it all started in first week of buying truck.

fuse 27 is a safety issue when it fails on the road in traffic. so, you want to wait till someone dies. do the right thing and force ford to issue safety recall. 1 death is to much. no issue with my truck as of now. i don't want issues with this ongoing problem.

The below was sent to me, It is difficult for me to understand why I was not told the recall expired in 2016 when I made the appointment (6-6-23) and when I handed my property over (6-12-23) to this dealership. Thank you for the diagnostic, it was very helpful, but, I still run the danger of crashing due to my breaks not pressing down when the pump goes out and the option to get FORD to fix it expired in 2016, My VIN is registered and I did not get a notice, I would gladly give this shop the $$ to fix the 2016 recall that expired. Now, that business will go to your competitor. If you were not aware of the expiration, I get that, but, you are a shop specifically designed for my Ford, again, thank you for the diagnostic but the way it was done I can't trust this shop or get other females to come there. Keep Jeff, do not run him off, his soul and manners feel safe and trusting, he treated me very well and I know he did what he was told to do by whoever was in charge. There is no need to contact me moving forward, but, this very email will be submitted to all the proper authorities (NHTSA.GOV, FTC.GOV, FORD.COM) when I hold FORD and others accountable. I work very hard for the life I have grown accustomed to. While driving in my 2011 f150 the electric power steering assist has went out intermittently during a turn causing the steering wheel to lock up or get very tight which has led to curb hits and near miss collisions. No warning indicators have ever come on during or after this has happened. I took ut to a shop and they could find no history of codes releated to steering or any failures during test drive or shop visit. This still continues to happen daily. Ford dealer recommended i replace entire steering systems at a cost of over $3000 without giving me a specific component failure.

Truck transmission shifted into 1st dear from 4th while driving on a large 4-lane road in the middle of traffic while i was going approx 35 mph. When the downshift happened the tired locked up and the rear end slid sideways. I was able to regain control; however, as I stepped on the accellerator, the truck bogged down for a few seconds before reving to high RPMs and shifting roughly and then went into a mode that only allowed the truck to move between 3rd and 5th gears.

The transmission is downshifting during highway driving causing an abrupt decrease in speed without warning. This issue causes an unsafe condition while operating the vehicle to myself and others around me. Although Ford motor company is aware of the issue, they have not initiated a recall because of it.
