2015 FORD F-150 Complaints

Pulled into traffic and car had sudden loss of power, several alerts showed up and car could not move and just idled.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the speed sensor in the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that a software update was performed for the rear-view camera. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V444000 (POWER TRAIN); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 140,000.

The transmission will downshift from 6th to 5th at hwy speed....it also at other times , will only go from 1st to 2nd gear and no farther...wrench light comes on each time.I have to pull off hwy and slowly try to take off to get transmission to shift correctly. A lot of times pulling to side of road puts me in a dangerous situation.When it won't shift past 2nd gear I have to try to pull over immediately as it over-revs.I am taking it to an independent service center and dropping it off for their confirmation as sometimes tranny will shift fine for 2-3 days and then go back to malfunctioning. It started this about a year ago, but I had neck surgery then and am now just getting back to driving.The wrench light comes on each time , along with the transmission fan.The truck is available for inspection any time.

Vehicle suddenly downshifts into a lower gear while accelerating from a stop or cruising at constant speed. Wrench icon comes on the dash and check engine light comes on. Turning off the engine and back on will stop the issue and restore the power.

Transmission abruptly shifted down from high gear to low gear causing it to lock up at a fast speed. My son hit his chest on steering wheel bc it was so abrupt

Sunroof was replaced under warranty due to track being broken. Now the sunroof is leaking and the shade will not open. There has been several recalls for sunroof issues. Dealership says my vin is not included. This seems to me to be a recall issue for safety. If the sunroof is broken it could cave in or fly off. Especially since it is leaking and won’t open and cannot see the problem. Dealership wants to charge me over $200 just to look at it. This is unacceptable.

My truck downshifted into 2nd gear after i was in 6th gear, now my transmission is slipping into 4th gear. But when i press the accelerator a little harder it’ll shift better but it’s not practical in a city
