2023 FORD F-150 Complaints

This happens every time I have lane keeping assist turned on and cruise control activated. The truck will periodically pull all the way to the right of the lane, to the point that the tires are on the right line and I am looking down the center of the lane. The more I fight to keep the truck in the center of the lane, the more it pulls to the right. The only way to stop this, other than disabling lane keeping, is to let the truck wander over to the right while barely touching the steering wheel. It will eventually return to the center of the lane. The dashboard graphics show a blue circle around the truck to indicate that the truck is in the center of the lane. When too far to the edge, it will change to show you are not centered. At no time while the truck is pulling to the right does the truck indicate it is out of position. Therefore, even though I am correctly centered in the lane, both by my own observation and the truck's indication, the system still pulls the truck to the right. This appears to be a systemic issue with the system. Here is a post from 2021 where someone is complaining about the same behavior: [XXX] This is a safety issue because: 1) It is fatiguing to have the system on and have to constantly fight it to keep the truck centered in the lane. On frequent 10-hour trips, I have to turn it off because it is adding to my fatigue and workload, even though I would like the benefit of proper lane keeping. 2) I can turn off the system but then I get no driver assistance when I actually drift in the lane. 3) This is most an issue when passing a vehicle in the right lane and the truck veers towards that vehicle. Again I have to fight the truck to not steer into adjacent vehicles. The Ford dealer has diagnosed the system and found no issues or software updates. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a serious safety issue with my 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning. While driving, the gauge screen on my vehicle intermittently goes black, leaving me without critical driving information, including speed, battery charge level, and warning indicators. This issue occurs unexpectedly and poses a severe safety risk, particularly at high speeds or in heavy traffic conditions. The inability to monitor vital vehicle data while driving significantly increases the risk of accidents, as it forces the driver to operate without essential real-time information. Additionally, this issue may lead to non-compliance with speed limits, missed warnings for mechanical failures, and impaired vehicle control. I have reached out to Ford regarding this issue, but as of now, no effective resolution has been provided. I am deeply concerned about the potential for serious accidents if this problem is not addressed immediately. Given the growing number of electric vehicles on the road, ensuring the reliability of essential display systems is crucial for public safety. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this matter and take necessary action to ensure that Ford acknowledges and resolves this dangerous defect. 2.7 liter ecobost engine . Cam Phaser Failure, cam phasers control the performance, air intake and exhaust of the engine. Failure from these parts will affect engine performance and can cause engine damage. Similar recalls were issued for similar ford 3.5 liter engine in the past.

Powertrain Failure. Vehicle unresponsive. Multiple complains through various individuals of this failure. Battery pack failures causing numerous safety issues related to driving, 12v system, etc

I continually get remote features disabled to preserve battery. Have taken it in to dealer, they can't find anything. I am told to drive truck for forty minutes or so. This doesn't help because in a couple of days it goes back to the warning., It offers updates for the software for the ford pass app It will never download. It says an error has occurred I didn't pay over $70000 for this truck to have to take it for a forty minute drive every couple of days to keep the battery charged If t can not be repaired, I would like a refund of my money and you take your truck back. This incident occurs every three or four days. .

The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 60-65 MPH in the rain, the contact noticed water coming through the front driver's side floor, on the left side of the brake pedal. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with his wife occupying the front passenger's side seat, the contact's wife felt air coming through the front passenger's side floor of the vehicle. The contact stated that his wife placed her hand on the floor and felt the air coming through; however, the A/C was not engaged. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where a water entry test was performed, and the dealer confirmed that water was entering underneath the brake pedal. The dealer determined that an unknown valve needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered to partially cover the cost of the repair. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.

On my new Ford F-150 Lightning, five out of the six studs on the right front wheel sheared off, leaving just one lug nut and stud holding the wheel on. I took my truck into the Ford dealership who repaired the vehicle and it was returned to me. They did not appear to be escalating the dangerous situation to Ford. The dealership kept the removed parts for warranty submission.

Right rear taillight lens has water ingression. The dealer states that they cannot replace the lens under warranty because of a technical issue bulletin issued by Ford Moter company that states that condensation is normal and that it should dissipate after a short period of time. Well this has not gone away. And after some time, it will start corroding the electrical connections for the lights and cause them to stop working. The dealer is telling me that it would no be covered under warranty until there is at least a quarter of water in the bottom of the lens. By that time the electrical connections for the lights will be damaged

I was driving down the road at approximately 35mph. The vehicle began to sputter and then started loosing power. I was only able to drive approximately another 150 meters and get over to the shoulder of the road. Once stopped the vehicle stopped running all together. The vehicle did have power but only to the electronics. The engine had shut down. I shut off the vehicle all the way and then restarted. It ran fine after that. This was on 01/29/2025. The vehicle had a previous instance where it did not start. It would crank the motor for approximately 6 to 8 seconds, the engine would fire and then shut off after about 1-2 seconds. The fuse box and wiring harness have both been replaced and the vehicle still seems to be having issues that could cause major damage and or injuries/death to the occupants.

My F-150 has been a nightmare since I purchased it in April. Ford dealers are unwilling to even look into my complaints. It has now got to the point where I cant drive the vehicle on the interstate because it is too unstable at those speeds. As in the steering wheel moves one way and the truck steers another. The truck is on its 3rd set of tires with only 30k miles on the odometer, but Ford always comes up with some excuse to blame it on me. That is not the case though, I've had 3 4X4 F-150s prior to this one, so I know what to expect from and how to drive a truck.
