2013 FORD F-150- Annapolis, MD
My truck will downshift on its own, i.e., I’m doing 65 mph on the highway in 6th gear and it will suddenly downshift to 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear, causing my back tires to spin out, I almost lose control of the truck and I lose speed quickly when other vehicles all around me are still doing 65 mph or more. The truck has also failed to shift out of first gear at all, the speedometer needle does not move at all and the truck will not shift up when I’m trying to accelerate. This is a danger to me and to all drivers around me. Ford is aware of this problem, the issue is a faulty lead frame assembly and it needs to be replaced. They issued a recall that called for a PCM reprogramming - a reprogramming of the PCM module was supposedly going to fix the issue with a faulty lead frame assembly! Crazy, it clearly did not as I had the PCM reprogrammed and the truck is still acting crazy due to the faulty lead frame assembly that Ford refuses to replace at their expense. It’s a $200 part!!

2013 FORD F-150- St. Cloud, FL
On 3 occasions the transmission has downshifting without warning as I was traveling at 65 mph it shifted down to 1st gear, fortunately I wasn't rear-ended. When I called the Ford recall center they told me they had a safety recall on this problem but they are considering it to be an extended warranty and unfortunately my warranty has expired due to it being over 10 years old and because of the high mileage. Told me they can't do anything about that problem anymore. I have owned the truck for several years, I still live at same address as when I purchased the truck and I have never received any recall notice.

2013 FORD F-150- Vero Beach, FL
Vehicle goes into limp mode when driving or slams into 1st gear, locks up the rear tires and throws the truck sideways. Sent to Mullinax Ford on 6/7/24 after waiting a week to get it in. Recall 19S07 was completed and vehicle brought back and told it was fixed. Vehicle was not driven again until the next day. Saturday, 6/8/24, the truck did it again multiple times at 6am while my husband was driving to work. Ford looked at vehicle on 6/10/24 and determined that the transmission molded lead frame needed to be replaced. Ford issued a CSP regarding this but has an expiration of 150,000 and/or 10 yrs from warranty date. It is UNACCEPTABLE to not cover a subsequent repair that is directly linked to the original safety recall. Just because we take care of our vehicles and the problem did not occur until 162,000 miles does not make it ok to not honor a full repair of a known safety recall and is unacceptable. I have been on the phone all day being passed around to not get any resolution on this or any of my questions answered
