The 5.0 Liter V-8 has defective intake manifold runner valves. This is a commonly known problem. This can cause the engine to quit running and lose power at any time. Ford has not had parts to repair for the past 2 or so years

Camshaft phaser failure. We had code P051B which led to sensor replacement. Shortly after cold start engine rattle. Suspect was cam/phaser from web investigating. At 50k miles this should be covered. Ford wants $6,000 to change VCT, Timing belt & faulty cam phasers. Ford acknowledged in 2021 their fault, but this was never issued as recall. We never got ANY letter from Ford. For people like us that have low miles, ONLY get oil changes at Ford regularly, should not be punished for bad installed parts. Camshaft phasers need to be recalled.

Was driving down the interstate, heading home. Then the truck starting shaking violently and misfiring bad. Took to a shop. Come to find out I Loss compression in my engine while on the interstate. Which caused horrible vibration. And very poor dieverably. Ending up needing an engine replacement at 121,00 miles. And cost 14,000 to do. Happened in February and still waiting for the engine replacement to be done. Ford is behind on motors.

Sunroof malfunction/leaking sunroof. Originally occurred in 2020 with the track not operating correctly. Manufacturer was able to fix that. However, after that it started leaking whenever it rained. Not pouring in the vehicle but dripping out of the sunroof control panel. It’s done it ever since then. 2022 I had dealer check it again, this they didn’t take it serious I believe as, they told me they were ordering a part to fix and would call me. I never heard back, called dealer and response was they hadn’t gotten part in. Never heard anything back from them. So, still dealing with leaking/malfunctioning sunroof

Transmission is hard shifting both when up and downshifting which causes vehicle to slip or spin out in wet or slippery conditions. Ford Dealership has technical service Buliton 24-2101 which identifies a problem with the hard shifting. At this point they are not offer a recall. Online this hard shifting issue is listed as as a problem on many Forums. Also, ford does has a recall on the same transmissions in the F250 model but not the F150 model from what I understand. The Ford Dealership gave the Following Assessment on the Transmission: Year 2017 Make Model Body Color 02/06/18 License Num! Checked for bulletins, 24-2101 states harsh shifting can be caused by sticking valves in main control valve body or CDE clutch cylinder sleeve axial movement. Reference active NHTSA action RQ24005 regarding Ford F-150 pickups with the 6-speed 6R80 automatic transmission from multiple years. My 2017 F-150 with the same referenced transmission is experiencing the EXACT same issues as described in the investigation specifically hard down shifts while traveling at highway speeds of over 70 mph. From my research of user forums I am led to believe the 2017 models should also be included in this investigative action. I have less than 52000 miles on this vehicle and am the only owner. I have gotten estimates from $1800 to $5000 for repair. Of course it is just outside the power train warranty of 6 years but well under if mileage was still being considered. Very frustrating to say the least. Please help this consumer and thank you for all you are doing to keep us safe in supporting everyone with vehicle issues. I have included screenshots from my Ford Pass application of the communicated issue.
