This recall has not been handled by Ford Motor company. My transmission is getting destroyed and starting to sound awful from the random downshifts.

2015 FORD F-150- Lakeland, FL
The truck has sporadically gone into “limp” mode for 6+ years. In the last 4 weeks it has happened a total of 6 times while driving. On Tuesday 6/9/2026 it happened while leaving a driveway. I was able to disconnect the battery and let the throttle body reset. I reconnected the battery, it started and drove without problems. I connected a loaded horse trailer, drove approximately 12 miles and it happened again, this time on a two lane road with a soft , uneven shoulder going from 60 miles per hour to 8 miles per hour very quickly. I was able to turn on my hazard lights and pull onto the grass, but only about 5 inches off the 60 mph road. In order to reset the throttle body, I disconnected the battery again, disabling the hazard lights while vehicles passed by narrowly colliding with us several times. The check engine light was illuminated, but I was not in a safe place to scan the truck. It usually disappears after resetting the throttle body, but did not this time. After 10 minutes, I heard the throttle body click, it started up and I drove another 15 miles when it happened again. This time at a temporary stoplight with no shoulder. I was able to scan the computer and the P2111 code was displayed. I reset the throttle body again, drove 5 miles and it happened again. I was able to navigate to a safer area, reset the throttle body again and drive less than two miles home. On 6/11, after letting the truck sit for two days, I started it with no issue to move the trailer and it happened again. I tried resetting the throttle body again and if did not work. The P2111 code is still showing and the throttle body will not reset. The truck is currently inoperable. It will only idle, roughly, and pressing the accelerator pedal had no effect on the truck.

I was on the highway and my truck suddenly decreased speed rapidly. Luckily I was able to pull onto a side road and get to safety but it was extremely dangerous and scary situation. The dealer has confirmed the symptoms fit the issue with the recall. Since Ford does not have a fix for this solution yet until July 1 my vehicle is unable to be driven or repaired leaving me stranded without a vehicle. However, this is a very concerning safety issue and my family could have been severely impacted traveling on the highway.

2015 FORD F-150- Orange Park, FL
Vehicle began randomly downshifting while driving causing the wheels to lock up. Would have to pull over and shut the vehicle off. Showed Engine code for lead frame which I had replaced but ford does not want to reimburse me because they have not released an official remedy for the recall.

2015 FORD F-150- Bemidji, MN
The vehicle lost power rolling from a stop sign, felt like it was trying to shift but wouldn’t then went into limp mode, drove fine the next day. The faulty lead frame is failing, it has no other cause. I refuse to drive and put myself and others in danger to prove it. The dealer said they couldn’t cover it because the code is not covered in the recall, they recommended a new valve body or transmission, they didn't even say why. They were able to recreate it wrench light. P2704 is the code they claimed with the 2 leading causes are valve body, they said my fluid was clean and the vehicle has up to date service with no previous sign of wear, or the lead frame going out, the ACTIVELY recalled part. I tried contacting ford directly and they refused assistance beyond “tow it to a different dealer” and then ended the conversation. It is a safety issue that I will not wait to have break if there is clear signs of it happening.

2015 FORD F-150- Bemidji, MN
My truck experienced a sudden downshift and loss of power, it threw a p2704 at the dealership but I don’t trust this dealership as they quoted me for a new transmission shortly after that, I tried calling the ford service line and they did not pickup, I went to their contact and they said to tow it to a different dealership for a second opinion, it is a severe safety risk and it is certainly the failing lead frame based on the trucks condition and service record, the service advisor online then ended the chat with me after I asked for a supervisor. I am not going to harm myself or others waiting for my truck to prove it has a critical failure waiting. I have a clear service record up to date with nothing that would point at a valve body, the next thing in row that would throw that code, and I refuse to pay out of pocket for something caused by the broken recalled part. I can either continue to drive it till it fails or have it replaced now.

2015 FORD F-150- Bentleyville, PA
My 2015 Ford F-150 experienced a sudden, dangerous loss of throttle power while driving, forcing an emergency stop on the side of the road. The vehicle is now locked in a hard electronic no-start/no-crank condition. We diagnosed the vehicle and pulled active, stored trouble codes P0706 and P0707 for the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS).This failure matches the exact defect described in NHTSA Campaign 26V237 / Ford Recall 26S28. However, Ford Corporate and the local dealership (Washington Ford in PA) are actively refusing to provide an emergency diagnostic scan, towing, or physical parts replacement, claiming they will not honor the remedy until June 30th. This has left a hazardous, disabled vehicle stranded on my property. They have acknowledged this meets the criteria of the safety recall but want me to pay for the towing of the disabled vehicle, diagnostics, and repair upfront including the lead frame which the recall notice specifically states should be replaced because the codes were thrown before reprogramming.
