2023 FORD F-150 HYBRID Complaints

Seemingly related to NHTSA Recall number 23V896. My rear passenger axle bolt has been sheared off. Ford dealership and Ford Corporate have stated my VIN number is not covered under recall 23V896.

The daytime running light is dim in on one side of the headlight, this is a very common issue with these trucks and ford needs to do the right think and fix and recall this issue.

The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the message trailer brake module fault was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the turn signals were blinking quickly. The dealer had been contacted to schedule an appointment, but the vehicle had not been taken to the dealer. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The contact found information regarding SSM: 52279/NHTSA ID Number: 10250833 (Trailer Hitches, Unknown or Other). The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in a recall or in the SSM. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a safety complaint. The failure mileage was 4,000.

The transmission is making a vibration in the accelerator pedal. dealer says its a normal characteristic but I had the same vehicle in 2021 and never had the problem

On numerous occasions the truck fails to accelerate and bogs down when taking off and turning at the same time. This has occurred when pulling out of a parking lot onto a busy street where cars are going the speed limit of 45 mph. When pulling out and making a turn you push the gas and nothing happens. The truck is basically coasting from the initial take off and is going less than 20 mph. Suddenly the cars that were coming down the road are right on top of you swerving and hitting there horn because they think you deliberately pulled out at the last minute in front of them. In actuality you pulled out of the parking lot with ample space. The problem is the truck did not accelerate. Secondly the truck handles terribly when pulling out of a driveway that has multiple angles. The truck can violently toss riders around in the seat at low speeds. This could cause someone to lose control of the steering wheel. I have reported these problems to ford dealer. I have either been told there is no problem or told “we found the problem and fixed it” only to experience the same dangerous faults time and time again. I have gone as far as telling the dealer to put in their records that I said “someone was going to get killed in a car wreck because of these flaws.”

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. While the vehicle was parked at the residence unattended, the tailgate opened unintendedly without warning. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the failure was due to the key fob. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 14,500.

After driving for approximately 2 hours, A/C stopped blowing out of vents. Even adjusting the fan speed up & lowering temp, vents did not blow air. However, I could hear air blowing within console. During this time, defrost of windshield did not work. I turned off system for approximately 30 minutes and then system began working. This same situation has happened 2previous times.

A/C unit has frozen up on my truck two times causing me to have to bring it to the delearship for repairs. This is a brand new vehicle and it gets extremely hot in Texas and to have the A/C go out and no longer function is a serious health risk to me and my family.

My truck is brand new. The A/C lines and evaporator coil are freezing up when using the A/C, resulting in no air flow out of the vents in the cabin. I checked forums online and this has been a common problem with my vehicle yet Ford has filed no recall to fix it. Dealership states it’s a faulty temp sensor in the evaporator. Ford refuses to pay for the fix under the vehicle manufacturer warranty because no warning lights are displayed on your dash.

The dealer informed the contact that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V896000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included. The dealer replaced the rear passenger's side axle assembly under warranty. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.
