The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V162000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue. The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, he noticed fluid leaking onto the ground. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that coolant was leaking into the engine short block. The dealer determined that the short block needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact of NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V209000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 148,000.

2014 FORD FUSION- Deltona, FL
The contact's wife owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while his wife was driving on the freeway at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to go over the speed of 25 MPH. The contact stated that the check engine and an unknown yellow gear icon warning lights illuminated. The contact merged to the side of the road and restarted the vehicle after 10 minutes. The contact was able to drive the vehicle home but the continued not being able to drive over 25 MPH. The contact's wife also mentioned that the vehicle was restarted on multiple occasions. The contact's wife mentioned while starting up, there was a clanking noise coming from the engine. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number 18V471000: (Power Train). The vehicle was taken to an independent transmission mechanic where it was diagnosed with a coolant leak causing the engine to need to be replaced. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, however, the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 103,010.

The contact's partner owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at slower speeds, the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that on one occasion while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle stalled while depressing the accelerator pedal to the floorboard. The contact stated that the transmission eventually re-engaged, and the contact drove the vehicle to the dealer. The contact stated that the steering was very difficult to turn. The contact stated she pulled off of the road and turned the vehicle off and on and the power steering functionality returned. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent at first but was now a recurring failure.
