We took the car to the Ford dealer for recalls on 6/26/2023. We noticed the car would jolt or slow down when shifting gears. Also would, on occasion, jolt before stopping. We were told that the transmission needed repairs. The cost could vary from 4k to 7k, which we declined and brought our car home, and it can be inspected upon request. The car has a little over 60k miles, and we consistently serviced it. No warning lights or severe problems before being told our vehicle is not driveable until we repair the transmission.

I had a blowout on the highway and the tire tools supplied by ford do not fit the lug nuts. The AAA driver that came also had a very hard time removing the lug nuts. I bought a lug nut socket set to be sure I had the correct tool to remove my wheels but nothing in the kit fits correctly. I had to beat a 19mm socket on to remove the lugs but that completely destroyed the lugs so that they need replaced. As for the recall on the shifter cable and brake line, I paid for both of those repairs when both parts failed before the recall notice was issued. Ford will not reimburse me for the repairs due to the mileage was over 150,000 at the time of repair.

Car was making a grinding noise, had it in the shop three times(independent service center), problem was never fixed. Car now needs a new transmission due to the bearing or shaft coming apart and now metal got into the trans. there is a TSB on that part so it must be a know problem. Car has 100,000 miles on it transmission and parts should last longer than that. Warning came on to pull over safely while Car was being driven and gas petal went all the way to the floor and car revered. Tried to put the car in park and it went into reverse, putting my daughter who was driving and everyone else on the road at risk. Problem confirmed by two ford dealerships.
