Transmission was previously slipping 200 miles prior, but I was on a road trip and unable to visit a mechanic for inspection. At a certain point, the engine temperature gauge began climbing to HOT and would only come down when the accelerator was released. Eventually, this remedy stopped working, and the car fully overheated.

Air conditioner turns on by itself. None of the buttons work on the steering wheel unless you hit the steering wheel. Sometimes when you turn on the car all the lights stay on and there is traction issues. If you turn the car back off and then back on it goes away.

Was recently notified by my local Ford dealer that my Lug Nuts on my vehicle needs to be replaced due to swelling. My dealer advised that "Wheel damage will happen" due to this swelling. It appears that this is a known issue by Ford who again has decided to put profits over customer safety. The dealer made is clear that this issue is a vehicle safety issue. I feel that a recall on these defective lug nuts should be ordered for the benefit of public safety. It funny this was not an issue until after my extended warranty expired.

Was driving when the car started to accelerate by itself. Revved up to higher rpm’s. I put the car in neutral when a safety warning message showed on the screen saying, stop safely now. With a red triangle with an exclamation point in the center. I turned the car off and started it again. As soon as the engine kicked in, it started to accelerate on its own again. Stopped again and let it sit for a bit, started it up again and let it gradually accelerate on its own(didn’t push down on the gas pedal)- didn’t seem to accelerate correctly after that. Car is now sitting.

Arriving at a stop light and the steering failed. Display read " Steering Loss Stop Safely". Towed to local garage who diagnosed problem as the Steering Gear Motor. Ford has a recall related to the steering motor however they claim this VIN is not included. This VIN should be included in the recall (15V250000) (Ford's recall number 15S14). Located in northern New England. High salt area during winter. Very unlikely steering motor just stopped working without the elements having effect on an improperly sealed unit. Vehicle has 160844 miles.
