On 26 May 2022 while approaching interstate exit in a 2014 Ford Fusion SE (1.5 L ecoboost engine) brakes were applied to slow vehicle but pedal went to floor and the vehicle barely stopped in time at the traffic light where the exit merged onto a main thoroughfare. Slowly drove the approximately 2 miles to house. Once there, tested the brakes and the pedal went to the floor again. Upon pumping the pedal a sharp sound emanated from the passenger side front wheel well. Brake fluid puddled on the ground and the brake fluid reservoir was empty. WHILE DRIVING I HIT A PIECE OF METAL WHICH CAUSED MY DRIVER REAR TIRE TO GO FLAT. WHEN I GOT OUT TO CHANGE TO THE TIRE I WAS UNABLE TO DO SO BECAUSE THE LUG WRENCH WOULD NOT FIT THE LUG NUTS. SO I HAD TO CALL ROADSIDE ASSISTS TO CHANGE IT. THEY SAID IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH FORD, SOME OF THEM ARE ONE SIZE AND OTHERS ARE ANOTHER.
