2017 FORD FUSION HYBRID Complaints

On the dash board the tool light ranch come on , that’s when my car switch is stuck in park and won’t go into gear. It’s been happening for a while I took it to ford… NOTHING. October 28 is when the situation first started and was stuck in park for hours.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds there was scraping sound coming from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the torque converter was faulty and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V427000 (Power Train). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 79,200.

When I turn right my vehicle made this ugly noise kind of like metal grinding and then it started kind of jerking my gear started switching and buying themselves it turned into neutral and then a warning sign came on and said transmission not in part stop vehicle safely now as I kept driving I stopped the vehicle turn it back on road home and kind of let the car just roll home I turned right again and the vehicle did the same thing but it was even worse it was making this ugly noise it started leaking transmission oil my battery ended up dying the gears it were just kind of like moving by themselves there's just weird like I don't know if it was recharging or what it was doing but my car was just going all kinds of haywire it's at the Ford dealership now at southway Ford that has been there for about 3 weeks I've asked them if they can do a diagnostic test on it they send my car still in line I've asked him if they can do recalls they said there's no recalls on my car so if someone can please give me a little Leah a little advice here and help me figure out what exactly is going on with my car I am out of I've been without a vehicle I'm trying to get a rental car at least I was told to maybe have my car towed to a different dealership and see if they can expedite the test or whatever right now my car is not running it is at the dealership and I have no information as far as what exactly is wrong with my car all I know is my car kept saying transmission not in park stop safely now and then the once the battery died it never turned back on again so what should I do

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated while making left or right turns, the contact noticed a lot of play in the steering wheel. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the bolt inside the steering wheel to be tightened. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V167000 (Steering) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

TIE RODS, OUTTER AND INNER TIE ROD THREADS WHERE STRIPPED FROM FORD MOTOR CO. CAUSING COMPLETE LOSS OF STEERING WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE. TIE ROD SEPARATED WITH OUT WARNING WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE NEARLY CAUSING A ACCIDENT AT SPEEDS OF 55MPH+

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER STARTING UP THE VEHICLE, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE FROM PARK, THE SHIFTER FAILED TO MOVE. THE TRANSMISSION WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FORD OF MURFREESBORO (1550 NW BROAD ST, MURFREESBORO, TN 37129) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED AND REMAINED AT THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, AND REFERRED HER TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.

I WAS IN AN INTERSECTION CAR ACCIDENT WHERE I WAS HIT AT 75 MPH ON THE LEFT DRIVERS SIDE, WHEN MY STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY BUT EVERY SINGLE AIR BAG ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY VEHICLE DEPLOYED.

I PULLED STRAIGHT INTO MY GARAGE, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE PEDAL, AND THE CAR DROVE FORWARD. IF THERE WASN'T A POLE IN BETWEEN THE CAR AND THE GARAGE WALL, IT WOULD HAVE GONE THROUGH THE WALL.

WHEN I TURN THE CAR ON, 3 WARNINGS APPEAR ON THE DASH: "FRONT CAMERA MALFUNCTION", "PRE-COLLISION ASSIST NO AVAILABLE", "LANE KEEPING MALFUNCTION CHECK". THESE FEATURES SEEM TO WORK WHEN I'M DRIVING, BUT WHEN I TOOK THE CAR INTO FORD, THEY TOLD ME THE IMAGE PROCESSING MODULE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

DRIVING 70MPH ON HIGHWAY WHEN CAR SHUT DOWN. NO POWER AND NO BRAKES. WAS ABLE TO GET ONTO SHOULDER AND CAR AUTOMATICALLY WENT FROM D INTO P ON ITS OWN ONCE IT CAME TO COMPLETE STOP. CAR RESTARTED AND WAS ABLE TO FINISH TRIP WITH NO OTHER PROBLEMS. VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS.
