2023 FORD MAVERICK Complaints

The contact owns a 2023 FORD Maverick. The contact stated he noticed a odd sound from the driver side door when closing and opening, the winch on the driver side door is loose and scraping the inside of the door frame. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed it to need a new driver side door. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,000.

The vehicle was pulled over, and a squealing, clicking, and grinding sound started coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on three separate occasions and was diagnosed with a CV shaft failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.

Both front CV axles on my 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid are failing at approximately 60,000 miles. Vehicle started to have a shake under acceleration. Reported it to multiple dealerships and requested them to specifically observe the CV axles. Finally secured an appointment on 11-24-2025 while vehicle was under factory warranty. Tenvoorde Ford informed me (the owner) that the CV axles were “fine” and a non issue. Shake was still present. Kept driving the vehicle and now, five months later with no factory warranty left on the vehicle, shake still present, and received a second opinion today. CV axle needs replacement. ~68,000 miles on the odometer. I exclusively commute on interstate 94 in central Minnesota, hardly drive in cities. There is no justifiable reason when the vehicle was at the dealership that the CV axle went from being just fine to needing replacement. This is a very common concern with these Ford Mavericks and Ford needs to conduct a recall before people get injured on the public roadways.

The vehicle was at the dealer for a loud noise on the hinge area of the driver side door. I was contacted by the dealer and told That the door has cracked spot welds and needs to be replaced. The dealer contacted Ford and for opening offered to pay for a portion of the repair leaving me with over $1000 dollars out of pocket.This is a common problem with this vehicle and the Ford escape see Ford TSB 2356B. The vehicle is still under warranty but this is a defective item and should be covered 100% by Ford.

I would like a warranty diagnosis and documentation explaining why this is not considered a warrantable defect.
