The contact owns a 2025 Forest River Cedar Creek Trailer. The contact stated that the trailer failed the annual Pennsylvania Inspection in November 2025 due to bent rear axle springs, primarily affecting the driver’s side rear axle spring assembly. The trailer was equipped with two axles. The contact stated that the springs installed on the trailer were not appropriate for the trailer weight rating. The manufacturer was notified of the failure in November 2025 and the contact had ongoing dialogue with the manufacturer about the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer offered to replace part rather than address the underlying issue regarding the spring weight capacity and requested the contact sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA); however, the contact refused to sign the NDA. The trailer was not repaired. The contact stated that the trailer was inoperable and needed to be towed. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.

The contact owns a 2024 Forest River XLR Toy Hauler equipped with Castle Rock Tires, Tire Line: ST Trailer and Wheel Radial, Tire Size: 225/75/R15, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, three tires had blowouts, one after the other. The passenger’s side front and rear tires and the driver's front tire had experienced the blowouts. There was damage to the aluminum siding on the RV. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact was stranded for five hours before assistance was provided. A mobile tire service arrived and replaced the tires with Goodyear Endurance tires. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire failure mileage was 1,000. The vehicle mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2024 Forest River Flagstaff RV. The contact stated that the RV was parked in an open space in an RV resort park, and after making dinner, the contact seemed to have passed out afterwards. The contact later woke up to neighbors banging on the doors because the carbon monoxide alarm was engaged. The contact was able to open the door, but with great difficulty. The RV resort owner interacted with the contact, but the contact was not making sense. The paramedics performed an evaluation and determined that the Carbon Monoxide level in the contact's body was abnormally high. The contact was immediately provided with fresh oxygen by the ambulance and was transported to the hospital. Upon evaluation at the hospital, the contact was informed that the Carbon Monoxide readings were off the charts, and Poison Control for Carbon Monoxide poisoning was contacted. The contact was diagnosed with abnormal EKG and tachycardia. Additionally, the contact was diagnosed with high level of lactic acid in the body and was close to septic shock. The contact informed the dealer of the failure and was advised that the RV needed to be inspected. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that he would be contacted by the legal department; however, the contact received a call from the warranty resolution department, which asked the contact about the desired resolution. The manufacturer then informed the dealer that the contact would be responsible for the difference if the RV was traded in, which the contact declined. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 2,100.

RV with Cummins 450 engine with 20k miles new, goes into limp mode on major interstate. I limp into a Freightliner and they clear the code do a def burn for and hour but it doesn’t really do it ,charges me 500$. Had to deal w this all this stress afraid to go any further all summer long last year searching for Freightliner repair shops along the way, diverting our trip to be close to a shop, finally take it to Cummins they charge me 4,000$ for fuel rail torquing that they did 2 years prior on a recall, and won’t fix the def problem. I had to take it another 200 miles to another Freightliner where they replace the def head for 1500$ and tell me it’s going to happen again! You guys have to do something about this. If not the people will put Cumming out of business. It’s no way to run a country letting this crap get by. Please fix it!

The contact owns a 2024 Forest River Wildwood Trailer. The contact stated that excessive heat generated by the oven and there was no venting system around the appliance. The contact stated that during normal operation, the heat buildup caused melting of the backsplash behind the oven and melting and heat damage beneath an adjacent drawer. The contact stated that smoke, overheating, and melting were observed. No fire had occurred; however, the contact expressed concerns that there was a potential fire hazard. The trailer was permanently parked and was not inspected. A repair shop inspected the trailer onsite and advised the contact that the oven, backsplash, and venting system needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer advised using smaller pots while operating the oven; however, the contact remained concerned that the lack of venting had not been addressed. The contact stated that the manufacturer declined the warranty coverage or goodwill assistance to repair the RV. The RV was not repaired.

The contact owns a 2022 Forest River Rockwood Trailer. The contact stated that while attempting to extend the slide-out, the slide-out became stuck and became inoperable. The RV was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a missing Z-bracket. The contact stated that the column became bent due to the missing Z-bracket. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2028 Forest River Sierra travel trailer equipped with Goodyear Tires, Tire Line: Marathon ST Trailer tire, Tire Size: 225/75/R15, DOT Number: 2V HH BLHV. The contact stated that while towing the trailer and driving approximately 20 MPH, the front passenger’s side tire experienced tread separation and a blowout. The contact was able to maintain control of the vehicle and safely stop the vehicle. The tire had approximately 20 miles of use at the time of the failure. The tire was removed and replaced, but the trailer was not towed. The tire was inspected by an independent mechanic, who confirmed the tread separation and the blowout. There was no crash, injuries, or property damage reported. The tire manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that a representative would follow up; however, the contact had not received a callback. The failure mileage was unknown.

We recently purchased the Palomino from State 48 RV dealer in Mesa Az. We travel for the summer. On our 4th campground, our watchdog surge power unit showed an improper wiring at the pedestal. Campground electrician checked the pedestal and determined it was wired correctly and the problem was with the trailer. We hired an RV TECH and he found the main power supply pinched between the frame and the trailer that sits on the frame. Causing wires to become bare and the wires began to burn. The RV TECH replaced the power supply and routed the wires correctly. Cost was 1100.

Flex frame is failing: the front structural rv moves noticeable when pin box is pushed, which is leading to interior cracking and wall separation. Issues was not resolved with resolution fox in 2025. The flex Fram is still failing and Forrest River jas no resolution.

As I was wiring underneath the chassis to install a new electric black tank valve, I noticed that the wires in the RV and waterlines were lying across the cross-members of the chassis, chafing and almost exposing wires. The water lines were almost chafed through and were not secured on the chassis at all, with no wire looms. In this photo, I put protective sleeves on where the water lines and wiring were lying across the cross members of the chassis.
