The contact owns a 2025 Freightliner M2. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH and driving over a bump, the contact’s leg struck the gear shifter, shifting the gear shifter into neutral. The contact believed that the gear shifter was not in a good location and that the gear shifter was too close to the driver's leg. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 23.

Rocker arm failure. Detroit released repair at no cost on the DD15 and up but not on the DD5 when they have the exact same problem and design and parts as the larger engines and they know that it is a problem.

tread separation on brand new steer tires, this truck and another with 11000.00$ damage. the tires are a goodyear marathon lhs 11r/22.5. all tires failed built in cali columbia. sent tire to goodyear and they rejected claim twice. independent dealers plural all confirm tread separation due to manufacture defect. they day saturday night sept 20 this tire failed exactly the same way as on peterbilt. have pics of all failures dot numbers and as i said the tire that are failing all have same dot number made in columbia, goodyear rejects all defects.

The Cooling fan behind the radiator also known as the clutch fan fell off the water pump. I realized it before it fell on the highway during rush hour and caused a major accident and engine failure. This is a very common problem and is all over the internet. In most cases it will take out the radiator, fan assembly, belts and hoses as reported by many on the internet when you google “MB sprinter clutch fan falls off”.

The body of our class A diesel motorhome is breaking loose from the chassis. The welds on two of the back brackets that hold the body to the frame have broken loose from the frame. As I round corners, especially in round-a-bouts, there is loud banging and grinding sounds from the back of the motorhome as the body slides from side to side. If this continues it could compromise hydraulic hoses and wiring and at worst the slide far enough to cause major accident.

There is a defect on the Freightliner Cascadia Oil Pump Manifold aka Oil Pickup Tube which causes engine failure and will go out without warning

The contact owns a 2025 Freightliner Cascadia. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the turn indicator on the instrument panel became inoperable. The contact stated that while attempting to make a turn, the sound indicator failed to function properly; however, the turn indicator was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated was concerned about the safety of the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive and was hazardous to the contact and to the other drivers on the roadway. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000.

The contact owns a 2024 Freightliner MT 45G. The contact stated while a driver was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle cameras became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it diagnosed that the cameras might be mismatched from factory or might have sustained water damages due to the inconsistent voltage and readings within the units. Additionally, the contact stated that the new cameras to be installed were not compatible with the existing camera modules of the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact that the cameras and modules needed to be replaced. The contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 45,111.

On August 1st, I was travelling on I-44 (a toll road with an 80 mph speed) near Claremont Oklahoma. I was doing 68 mph when a red warning message came up on my dash. It read...KINGPIN RELEASE ACTIVATED. STOP IMMEDIATELY! KINGPIN RELEASED WITHOUT REQUEST. I did not touch my brakes. I gently moved to the the shoulder and coasted to a stop...so as not to put any pressure on the kingpin or fifth-wheel and hoping the weight of the trailer would hold it in place til I could stop. I checked under my truck and the lock was perfectly across the jaws. It did NOT turn loose, thankfully. Our road breakdown dept and Tulsa Freightliner could not say what the problem was. Freightliner replaced the kingpin release button on the dash and hoped that was the fix. The service manager told me if it happened again, they would have to keep the truck at least a week and Dahmler would be opening a file on the problem. I know that means they don't know what happened.
