2014 GMC ACADIA Complaints

Thinking it’s possibly the front passenger air bag isn’t working properly. The Air Bag light will go on and off for no apparent reason while someone is or isn’t in the seat. Makes me scared for anyone who is to sit in the front passenger seat; knowing that there’s possibly a danger issue.

Service Airbag light is on. Diagnostic code states it’s the wiring harness under the passenger seat causing an AMP draw. Mechanic told me there is a safety recall but I’m not seeing one for this issue, however I do see a lot of other complaints for this same issue. This is a safety issue and should be addressed.

I was involved in an accident on 03/31/2022 I was only passenger. Going about 35 mph hit a parked vehicle on passenger side of vehicle. Side air bags employed. But front air bags did not. I did get a concussion and left with scar from embrasion above right eyebrow from hitting steering wheel. Why did not the front air bag go out?

The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiring in the seat was above the loophole. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 105,207.

I was driving down the road 55 mph and my acadia stalled. Then stabiltrac and traction control turn off then it goes to half power. So then i have to pull over wait a few minutes and restart it. This happens everyday and im nervous to see even drive my truck and it is a safety risk as it could cause a accident. I also read on the internet that it has affected multiple years and models so im not sure why there is no recall

Gas gauge does not read accurately. We have ran out of gas one time due to this issue, resulting with us stalling in the middle of a busy street. Now that that has occurred gas is put into the tank every few days but gas gauge still only registers 1/4 of tank to “Low Range”. MULTIPLE OCCASIONS!

Twice in the past six months, the “Service Air Bag” warning light has come on. The first time, the wiring under the front passenger had to be resodered. Last week, the same warning came back on, and the wiring under both front seats had to be resodered. I feel this is a safety issue, and a design failure in this year and model car.

When I turn a corner and accelerate, the vehicle jerks as if the transmission is slipping. I called Gmc and made an complaint. My vehicle has just over 50,000 miles on it. Very concerning

2017 blind spot detection lights on in both mirrors. Both modules in rear bumber replaced. 2021 blind spot sensors on again and “park assist off” in DIC with system not letting me turn back on.

Service airbag light has been on since I’ve had the car. It was not covered by warranty (even though it is important?) in order to fix it I was quoted over $1000 which is ridiculous as I only had it a month before that and traction control became a issue. Warranty covered the traction but not the airbags.
