2014 GMC ACADIA Complaints

Vehicle stalls intermittently. Due to an earlier recall of the same model but not including the one I own. There is electrical shorting inside the fuse box in the ignition circuitry that causes this problem. This is a huge problem as there is no preemptive warning. Whether you're driving 5 mph or 55 mph it happens suddenly and without any warning. The incident is stored in OBDII codes. There are no warning lamps until after 5he vehicle stalls out. #PIT5643. GM has not yet fixed the driver's side air bag problem, by replacing it per GM Safety Recall # N232404980. We purchased this vehicle from Folsom Buick GMC, 12640 Auto Mall Cir., Folsom, CA 95630. It had 7,000 miles on it when purchased in 2014. The mileage now is 180,236., & it is TEN YEARS LATER! The below dealers have completed numerous work orders on this vehicle over the last 10 years except for #4 because my wife & I recently moved to Arizona. 1. Folsom Buick GMC, Folsom, CA PH: 916-400-2884. 2. Reliable Buick GMC, 400 Automall Dr., Roseville, CA. PH: 916-783-5233. 3. Cal Worthington Chevrolet, 350 Automall Dr., Roseville. PH: 916-945-9142. 4. Henry Brown Buick GMC, 1550 E. Drivers Way, Gilbert, AZ. PH: 480-630-3917. Without exception, each one of these dealers said that they cannot fix it because General Motors has not supplied the part(s) to remedy the problem. Per news reports over a decade +/- , this brand of defective driver's air bag can, and has, caused fatal injuries to drivers involved in accidents that caused the air bag to deploy. I would appreciate it very much if the NHTSA can, and will, cause (force) General Motors to replace this defective item, or supply a replacement vehicle that will not kill the driver should he/she be involved in an accident. My air bag sensor is on and I fear for my life every time I drive my vehicle that if someone causes an accident that it could result in serious injury or death with me and my passengers

I have many problems with this vehicle, numerous times. Inaccurate Fuel Gauge Reading- It has resulted in my vehicle running out of fuel and stalling, while on road. I have 4 children who are at risk of danger while in vehicle.The fuel warning light has illuminated when the gauge needle says I still have more than plenty of amount (a quarter of a tank or more at times. It differs). It was diagnosed with an electrical and fuel system failure. Electrical shorts and problems- Having electrical shorts on and off. Check engine light comes on/off Vehicle randomly failed to start. My vehicle was difficult to start and would require several attempts before starting. Power lock/unlock key fob doesn't work, replaced battery multiple times.windows and sunroof power windows do no work. Radio and dash turn off and restart. Check airbag light has been coming on and off. Power Train intermittently, the transmission shifts with a loud thump, at various speeds. Vehicle starts shaking and jerking while shifting gears and going different speeds. My vehicle slows down, power reduce engine and steering difficult at times. Other/ water leak- Found water in all of my tail light assemblies, headlight assemblies, sunroof and windows leaking. There is no proper seal or has worn off, causing leaks in and repairs for many replacements, which are expensive temp fixes with no permanent solution. Causes accidents by not having necessary working equipment for driving conditions. Other:Hood doesn't latch and stay open so difficult to even check fluids properly alone. Multiple dealers have inspected problems, and needs to be fixed. There are recalls out for many of these problems and my vehicle needs to be on the list for serious safety issues.
