2019 GMC SIERRA 1500 Complaints

This morning, while driving to work, my truck was operating smoothly without any prior warning signs. Suddenly, the dashboard displayed a message indicating "Low Oil Pressure" and instructed me to turn off the vehicle. There were no preceding alerts, such as check engine lights or low oil pressure indicators. As I was preparing to follow the instructions, the vehicle dashboard displayed another message directing me to put the truck in neutral, and then the engine automatically shut off. Unfortunately, after this occurred, I was unable to restart the truck.

The transmission failed and GM will not provide parts to repair the truck. Only has 57000 miles

I was driving to work on Saturday morning [XXX]. As I pulled out of the stop sign and approached 45 mph the engine stop. Making me a hazard within the road. I had to abruptly pull off into a road/yard in order to be safe. All while not having a power as the engine completely stopped. Upon investigation the dealership, Budd Baer in Washington Pennsylvania confirmed the engine had seized up due an issue in rotating assembly. On a normal trip to work the dash light lit up then gave me these warnings. Service ESC, Service Trailer brake, Brake system Failure-62 mph top speed, steering assist reduced. Dashboard lights that were on, ABS Check Engine, Brake, Traction Control. When I tried to slow down the power assist was gone on the brakes, I had a little braking when I pushed the pedal all the way to the floor as hard as i could, when I went to turn the wheel was hard to turn. I have had no issues like this before. After I managed to stop and turn off then on the vehicle everything came back expect for a warning to service the trailer brakes and the check engine light was still on. It all cleared after a few more restarts. I got the truck to the dealer 4 days later and they said it was the battery going bad even though I was not having any problem starting the vehicle, I had them replace the battery. I am unsure if the problem is resolved, time will tell. What I am sure of is if my daughter had been driving the truck, she would not have had the strength to get the brakes to work or turn the wheel, she would have had a accident for sure.

Engine failure. Lifters failed causing internal engine damage. No previous warning. 160000 miles. Repair cost is $5000

Took truck to dealership for transmission issues such as hard shifts and shuttering on highway. Waiting 2 months for parts that didn’t fix the issue. Now waiting on another transmission which I’m being told is on back order!

cylinder #1 had misfire and this was because the liftt malfunctioned which inturn caused it to grind on camshaft

Engine threw a rod and needed to be replaced out of pocket due to vehicle being out of warranty. Going down I35 so not safe at all. All dash light illuminated when it occurred.

Unknown mostly. Water pump ended up cracking while running. Power failure notice had come up on dash and then vehicle shut off while running. Dealership made repairs but unable to identify root cause.

while driving down the road i noticed the truck had a lack of power and then the check engine light came on and as soon as it came on i heard a ticking/clacking noise. I got the truck towed to a repair facility and they found misfire on cylinder 8, they informed me and wanted to drain the oil and also removed the valve cover in order to check the valve train. They found a lot of metal in the oil along with a decent amount of decent shavings in the oil filter. They removed the valve cover and found a bent pushrod and stuck lifter. They did mention a possible noise coming from the bottom end of the engine (knocking) but at this time with the amount of contaminates in the oil and stuck lifter, The engine is recommended to be replaced. No ETA at this time for a replacement
