2024 GMC SIERRA 1500- Boca Raton, FL
This vehicles top portion of grill trim is starting to come loose, as this is a safety concern while on the highway, I had another vehicle that the trim flew off completely, (same year and model) while i was on the highway. This could hit another vehicle if this happens, or god forbid a person who happens to be on a sidewalk. I looked into this and found that there is a recall for the same issue on 2022 models that has not been extended to the 2024 model (Recall N242490120). This recall should be extended to the 2024 models as this is a huge safety concern.

Issue is with the transmission as it harshly shifts into a low gear when on an incline. This causes me to lock up my breaks as it feels like the truck was rear ended by another vehicle. I’m concerned that this is going to cause an accident. This problem has not been reproduced by the dealer. I’ve taken it to the dealership several times. No warning lamps or messages.

My truck engine has failed due to metal shavings in the oil related to the L87 engine recall, and the failure occurred after GM had replaced the truck’s oil as part of the recall remedy. The recall remedy did not prevent the failure of the engine.

On XXX, while traveling at 75 mph on a major interstate highway, this 2024 GMC Sierra Crew Cab suffered a sudden and catastrophic internal engine seizure, resulting in an immediate and total loss of propulsion. This defect put the safety of all occupants and surrounding motorists at extreme risk, forcing the driver to navigate a completely unpowered, rapidly decelerating vehicle through high-speed traffic to reach the shoulder without the aid of engine power. There were absolutely no warning lamps, error messages, or mechanical symptoms prior to the failure; the engine locked up instantaneously without any advance warning. Following the incident, the vehicle was flatbed-towed to an authorized franchise dealership (Dossett GMC in [XXX]), where it remains un-repaired and is currently available for inspection by the manufacturer or federal investigators upon request. Critically, this vehicle was previously presented to a certified General Motors dealership at 34,766 miles for inspection and service compliance under Federal Safety Recall N252494001 (which covers engine component failure and subsequent loss of propulsion). The vehicle was cleared as passing the manufacturer's inspection protocol at that time. The total engine failure and seizure occurred less than 9,000 miles later at approximately 43,634 miles. The catastrophic field failure of this vehicle demonstrates that the manufacturer's current safety recall inspection and remedy are insufficient to identify or mitigate the defect, presenting an ongoing and severe risk to public highway safety. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I was driving down the highway and the top grill trim 84957848 part number, flew off. Hit my windshield. Could’ve caused the small car behind me to blow a tire or damaged their vehicle.

top grill deflector flew off at highway speeds creating a safety hazard for me and others in the highway. 2022 GMC Sierra with the same part and grill was previously recalled for this identical issue. 2022-2026 models have the same problem and should be included in the recall. Please see Safety Recall N242490120

The screen shakes. Goes black. Zooms in randomly without prompting. Started dialing up people from recent calls. While trying to get the navigation working. I started drifting into oncoming traffic. Fortunately was able to course correct and avoid collision. Buttons are most time not responsive to touch. It is distracting. The system has never fully worked as promised and is a distraction. And as a result a serious safety hazard.
