  • 2026 HOLIDAY RAMBLER INVICTA
    - Manassas, VA

The front bump stops rest on the leaf springs seeming to indicate overload of the suspension. Ford initially stated this was a problem, then updated assertion to state it is normal. Upon crossing over some bridge joints and pot holes on highways while traveling at or below speed limit and when well-below GVWR, impact energy transmitted through the steering wheel is mildly painful and immediate and forceful steering effort is needed to correct lane tracking, with some body roll and slight lane departure being difficult to avoid. This has also caused driver side external rear view mirror to become loose on mount and spin leaving driver unable to see behind on that side. Dashboard parts fly upwards and screws are torn out requiring tape to secure and keep from flying and hitting occupants. Dash has separated from front cap. Ceiling-mounted hallway door mounts have ripped completely free, leaving heavy interior doors dangling and creating a direct projectile hazard to occupants while in motion. Three separate manufacturer-authorized evaluations performed with some corroboration of issue (note of obvious damage and suspension component irregularity/deformity) all refused to repair/correct issue.

Dash display is delaminating and the issue is slowly spreading across the display. At some point safety information will not be visible. Problem started with what looks like drops of water below the screen layer.

  • 2022 HOLIDAY RAMBLER ADMIRAL
    - Syracuse, UT

This is for a 2022 Holiday Rambler Admiral 28a motorhome. While driving my dashboard started to move and make a lot of noise. After I returned home I took it to have someone look at it. They informed me that the welds that hold the motorhome to the frame were all breaking and the steel was musrooming from the weight. I talked to REV which is the manufacturer and they told me they decline to participate in fixing this very serious issue. Basically the house part of the motorhome could detach from the frame causing serious injury or death to me and my family. I feel this is probably not an isolated incident to my motorhome.

  • 2025 HOLIDAY RAMBLER VACATIONER
    - St Johns, MI

This vehicle is equipped with a chassis/suspension and drive train that makes it extremely difficult to control on the road. The vehicle wags when a vehicle passes it and it also has excessive movement when caught in a crosswind. The vehicle is rated to pull up to 8000lbs. I was pulling a Jeep Grand Cherokee that weighs about 5000lbs. If the Jeep moved right the Vacationer would jump left and when the Jeep went left the Vacationer would go right. This combination of the Vacationer movement with or without the Jeep requires excessive vigilance to keep the rig on the road. I have over 50 years of driving large vehicles including semi tractor trailers and other large RVs. This is the most uncontrollable vehicle I have ever driven. It requires constant inputs to counter body sway, drift and push by the towed vehicle. The vehicle is also severely under powered. It would slow to 20 miles per hour on many hills no matter how I approached hills. I tried revving the engine prior to entering a grade and manually shifting to try to maintain a reasonable speed. I found multiple postings on line for recalls on the Ford F-53 chassis describing these exact problems and some remedies to address part of these issues. This vehicle and others with this chassis and drive train are unsafe. I drove my brand new rig for about 4000 miles and reached a point where I do not want to drive it on the road. I feel unsafe. I had several times where the vehicle surged so quickly to right or left that it would have caused an accident. This drive train and chassis combination is found on several brands of motor homes and I have spoken with several people who have experienced similar issues as well as the on line posts. These vehicles pose a substantial risk on the road as they sway and jump in response to wind or they slow well belwo normal road speeds. These vehicles should be recalled.

  • 2018 HOLIDAY RAMBLER ENDEAVOR
    - Lititz , PA

We lock the door to our motorhome via the indoor turning lock every night. In the morning the door would not unlock. It took a lot of jiggling to finally open it. To keep it from happening again we zip tied the lock to the door handle as shown in the picture attached. We live in the motorhome and were fearful of entrapment since that is the only man door

  • 2004 HOLIDAY RAMBLER NEPTUNE
    - Indio, CA

The contact owns a 2004 Holiday Rambler Neptune built on a Roadmaster chassis. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH, the RV was swaying in the lane and the steering wheel shifted position and was horizontal. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stopped the RV and observed that the rear bumper was almost touching the road surface and the rear passenger side tire was almost touching the wheel well. The contact called an independent mechanic who drove to the location of the RV and examined the RV and determined that the rear suspension and rear axle had fractured and needed to be replaced. The contact had the RV towed to an independent mechanic however, the RV was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact had researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 05V053000 (Suspension). The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.

  • 2023 HOLIDAY RAMBLER NAUTICA
    - Amery, WI

This RV, purchased new, is uncontrollable in any cross wind. The wheelbase, suspension, and steering system do not work properly together. It takes an extreme amount of steering correction if there is any force of wind, whether from nature, small to large vehicles passing, grooves in road, pot holes, etc. For an untrained driver, this could be life threatening as maintaining the vehicle in the lane in which it is traveling is near impossible without constant correction. Even as an experienced driver, maintaining the vehicle is extremely difficult. We bought and returned the vehicle within 690 miles of ownership, due to the fact that the dealer insisted we returned it to their store, which was 250 miles from our home. Other mileage on the vehicle came from driving it to nearest Freightliner service center for assessment of chassis and engine belt replacement. We lost over $75,000 in two weeks of ownership, even though we purchased it on Friday night and asked to return it the following Monday, due to the erratic dangerous handling of the RV. I am a Class A Commercial Driver Liscensed in state of WI and hold a medical card for Interstate travel. I have several years of experience driving large profile, heavy vehicles over the road. I have held and maintained this license since 1999.
