2015 HONDA CIVIC Complaints

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving 5 MPH, the vehicle started jerking while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle lost motive power and stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the roadway. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed with internal transmission failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

Cvt transmission leaking oil and plug keeps popping off. Started at 27,000 now at 60,000 and leaking non stop

The contact was able to drive the vehicle safely to the residence. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. The dealer notified the contact of NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V574000 (Power Train) however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 89,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, the "Check Transmission and Transmission Control Module (TCM)" warning messages were displayed. Additionally, the RPM gauge went from 2,000 to 6,000, while the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and diagnosed that an unknown metal part had fractured and detached from the transmission. The contact was informed that the transmission and TCM sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V574000 (Power Train) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 184,000.

I am having problems with my 2015 honda civic lx , my transmission failed when my wife and grandkids were getting off freeway and car stalled. This is a serious problem that Honda needs to address for consumer safety. The cvt transmissions in these vehicles are of poor quality.

The contact owned a 2015 Honda Civic. The contact stated that as her son was merging onto a highway at 25 MPH, an SUV sideswiped the vehicle which sent the vehicle into a tailspin. As the vehicle continued to spin, her son lost all control of the vehicle as the rear bumper hit a cement barrier. The airbags did not deploy upon impact. Her son was cut out of the vehicle to the accident; however, he did not sustain any injuries or need medical attention. A police report was filed at the scene. The vehicle was destroyed due to the accident and was towed to an independent tow yard. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle was a total loss. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000

While driving the check transmission light came on and vehicle would not accelerate above 20 mph. Vehicle made loud whining noise when pushing the gas pedal. Mechanic found that there was transmission fluid leaking heavily around the transmission fluid pressure switch. It is currently sill in the shop waiting for the replacement switch. Waiting to se if there are any other issues. I have seen many complaints on forums concerning the transmissions in these cars. Where is the recall?

My 2015 Honda Civic LX (automatic) began feeling like it was dragging/hesitating under 40m/h while decelerating. This would also happen while decelerating and then (without braking) accelerating (stop and go traffic or at signal). One time my car started shaking (think going on your brake and gas and brake and gas) that motion but way faster. it seems the fill cap/dipstick keeps popping out every 1000 miles and i have to manually put it back in.

The transmission fill plug popped out and was laying right next to the fill hole on the engine. Transmission fluid leeked from the engine and has damaged/compromised the transmission.

Transmission fill plug popped out. From blogs I read about the car it is a common thing for the plug to pop out if the vent is clogged or from high pressure build up in transmission.
