2018 HONDA CR-V Complaints

After an accident, the Honda dealership failed to replace all required components necessary to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle. They said it is okay that the airbag light still comes up and that I should ignore it.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle stalled with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired however, the repair was pending. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 21V215000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the Vin was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 26,500.

When driving about 25 mph, the dashboard lit up with "Brake", gave a warning sound then the brakes applied automatically very hard. There was nothing in front of me that I needed to brake for. It was frightening for me and the front side passenger that this happened without warning, and we both lurched forward. Luckily we both had seatbelts on. I called the dealer and they said I need to have the sensors adjusted. I declined in that the car is out of the 3 year warranty (only 33k miles) by 2 mos and I would have to pay to have this "safety feature" fixed. I can't figure out how to turn this "feature" off permanently but can push a button upon each start up to turn it off. Disappointed in Honda that they don't address this.

Malfunctioning A/C unit - July 2020 noticed no cool air coming through while A/C was on. Had a dealer in WA look at it and they found A/C discharge hose leaking. They couldn't fix it since the part was not in stock and I was in the process of moving out of state. Then took it to a different Honda dealer in OK in August 2020 and they tested it and also said discharge hose was leaking, they replaced hose - evac and charge system - a/c working as intended. This was within warranty so no charge, mileage 24,675. Then once it got hot again and tried to use the A/C, it wasn't blowing cold air again. Took it to the Honda dealer again June 2021, mileage 28,428 and they said now it's the receiver pipe is leaking, the other pipe. Per their notes, the service recommended is to replace 1 line and perform a/c service (looks like the a/c line from compressor to the condenser is leaking and needs replaced.) But now it's out of warranty by a couple of months. This seems to be an issue with 2017 - 2019 Honda CRV's from seeing it on multiple posts from other Honda owners. I haven't had the work done on this yet so it can be inspected again or I can send you the invoice that states this information. Please help with this known issue with CRV's.

Air conditioning failure after manufacturer warranty expires, it seems like common problem for 2018 honda CR-V.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel would vibrate. The contact stated that the steering warning light was illuminated. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V663000 (Steering) however, the Vin was not included. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, and the contact was informed that the Vin was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 23,500

the air condition of the car does not work properly. there has been multiple complaints about the ac not cooling properly making it a safety hazard for people in the car in hot weather. The ac compressor seems to always have a leak or the condessor. I believe they should make a recall the the ac compressor of this year of the Honda crv.

Sun visor is not staying up. Already replaced once under warranty but it is happening again about 1.5 years later.

Driving on secondary road. Going approx 30 mph. No vehicle in front or behind. No oncoming traffic in other lane. Car on it's own engaged automatic collison braking system almost throwing me through window. Brought car to dealer. They claim they hooked up to computer and said system was good. Week later driving on highway, every mitigation systems warning lights started flashing on screen indicating they were not working. Also brake system warning light appeared.
