I hope you are doing well. I am writing to sincerely request your understanding and support regarding my vehicle repair. My car to Union Park Honda for the fuel pump recall repair, which was completed under the recall service. However, shortly after that, I was informed that my vehicle now has a head gasket problem, which requires a very expensive repair. Unfortunately, I am currently facing a very difficult financial situation, and it is not possible for me to cover this cost at the moment. This situation has been emotionally and financially challenging for me. I truly appreciate Honda’s care and commitment to its customers, and I am humbly requesting if there is any way the dealership could provide some financial assistance, any special consideration to help me with this repair. Your compassion and understanding would mean a lot to me. Thank you very much for your time and support. Closed the hatch to the CRV and the glass shattered. Looked up on line and there was a voluntary product update campaign requested.

STEERING IS SOMETIMES DIFFICULT. There is a popping/cracking sound that appears to be coming from the driver's side wheel assembly/strut area. Could this be the same problem as the CRV 2022-2025 Steering Gearbox recall, 24v744000?

The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while her mother was driving 55 MPH, the steering wheel became difficult to turn while making left or right turns or while driving straight. An independent mechanic was contacted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the steering gear assembly needed to be replaced, as well as the rack and pinion. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: 2 18-103 (2017-18 CR-V: Steering Gearbox); however, the VIN was not included in the bulletin. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact there was no recall on the VIN related to the failure. The failure mileage was 53,000.

I brought my vehicle to a Honda dealership for a recall repair for the fuel pump and it was observed that the vehicle was leaking coolant and oil. The mechanic determined that the head gasket needs to be replaced and this is documented and available for review. There were no warning lights or noticeable clues that there was a major engine malfunction occurring. If not for the recall repair it is likely the motor would have failed causing catastrophic damage from the head gasket issue. The repair is expensive and necessary to continue driving the vehicle. This engine failure is not typical of a honda product and was unexpected.

2018 HONDA CR-V- The Villages, FL
The car model year is 2018 and has 49,580 miles when it was taken to the Honda dealer for inspection. The steering wheel was 'sticking' as if it were in a groove. Turning the steering wheel became somewhat difficult. It was if the steering wheel needed to be turned with enough force to get it up and over the lip of the groove so the car would turn. It also made a ticking or cracking sound when turning the steering wheel. Dealer test drove the car and was able to duplicate the concern. They found the power steering rack assembly had failed and stated so on the invoice. The entire unit needed to be replaced, and a 4-wheel alignment would then be required. The cost of the unit was $5,813.75, and the cost of the alignment was $139.95. This is a serious safety issue when the steering rack assembly fails.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with a recent engine failure in my 2018 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD (VIN: [XXX] ), which occurred despite meticulous maintenance my CR-V experienced a coolant leak through the head gasket, leading to a misfire on cylinder 3 (diagnostic code P0303). Repairs at Heritage Honda in Bel Air, MD, included replacing the head gasket, spark plugs, injectors, and other components, totaling over $6,300. This significant expense for a well-maintained vehicle is disheartening, especially given Honda’s reputation for reliability. There is an issue with the power steering system. When I turn the steering wheel from a stop I experience resisting or binding feel in the steering wheel. this occurs whether the wheel is making a left or right turn. I also notice this if I am changing lanes in driving. This issue is most noticed after the engine is warm from travel. The steering feels 'Sticky" and the safety of the vehicle at freeway speeds is concerning. MY Honda dealer has investigated this issue on o9/05/2025 and indicated the steering rack needs to be replaced. This was an issue Honda was aware of back in 2018, however my vehicle was not apart of the recall. I purchased this vehicle in august of 2018 at Honda of Covington. this vehicle currently has 59,524 miles and has been regularly serviced at my Linda dealer. some financial remediation would be appreciated.

I just filled a report but on October 3rd @ 3:34pm the same thing happened where while in cruise control the car just brakes and there was no reason for that to happen.

While the adaptive cruise control is on for no reason the car breaks giving risk of being hit from behind. While driving down the road the brake light just comes on to say brake brake and there is no one in front or on the side of us. This has happened multiple times and I have owned the car for 4 years.
